Playing devils advocate here....... Many on here seem to think it would be a disaster if Toby left us. And true, he is a class player that hopefully we can keep hold of but................. Toby has only made 16 appearances for us this season - so, including Cup games, he has played less than half of our games. Does this mean he is injury prone? Does this mean that he is not as integral as many think he is to our success this season? Yoshida has filled in admirably when Toby has not played and, as with last season with Lovren, it does appear that any CB who plays alongside Jose looks better because they are playing alongside Jose. So while it would be disappointing if Toby does not sign permanently then it surly would not be the end of the world.

Great stuff and should be fantastic for the bonding of the team. Looks like they are having a great time.

At least 7th looks realistic but Stoke are on a run and only 7 points behind and they play us at home. Could be a big game. Saints have definitely got to raise their game to stay in touch with 3rd though 6th. Spurs game at home could be huge and lets hope its not a repeat of the Liverpool game

If, buts, maybe.......... We have had an incredible season if it is tailing off somewhat. You could equally say we were lucky against Palace, QPR and Utd where we created pretty much nothing and scraped undeserved wins. If we can win 6 or 7 of our last 10 (long shot) then we ave a chance at Champions League

My daughters U13 team plays with far more guile and cutting edge than this. At least they have tons of movement and no little skill: this is like watching paint dry and don't understand why Tadic continues to be given game time when he has been utter s***e for many months.

Too many foreign players in our side who don't have the stomach for the fight. This truly is abysmal and like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

Blimey....so now I have seen Pelle drop into midfield to collect the ball (and then give it away cheaply) and Clyne deliver a godawful cross. We really have been Jekyll and Hyde this season - my concern is not this season but going into next season struggling. nothing to suggest the loanees will offer anything long term

Jeez......so predictable. get the ball and then always lay off to the wings and moves go nowehere. Acres of space in the middle but no always play to the wing.

Agree...just appears to be a very disappointing end to a fantastic season. I really, really hope we just don't buy from the Eridvese though. Pelle and Tadic look a shadow of the players at the start of the season

RK has to take a lot of the blame for recent performances......Pelle should have been dropped ages ago, tactics last few games have been wrong and a genuine shot at top 4 appears to have evaporated last 4 games or so. Fantastic, unexpected season but we seem to be falling apart right at the end. Which, to be fair, while disappointing, should be expected as we just don't have the squad to cope. Hopefully next season we will regroup and continue our upward progress. Really don't see Elia being a permanent fixture and hopefully Tadic and Pelle come back stronger after a first season in the Prem. Remember SUarez did not look all that in his first season.

we have been so awful it is untrue. If Pelle start midweek something is seriously wrong with RK's decision making. Why play Mane out wide when he looked unstoppable through the middle? To accomodate the lump that is Pelle? Why?

truly abysmal............dont think we had single effort on target. no fluidity: ironic we have tons of pace but its being wasted right now. FOr the love of god please play 2/3 up top and just go for it. We have created nothing: Tadic has been abysmal, Pelle looks slow and off the pace and we are still trying to pass the ball into the net. Swansea showed how to play Saints and now everyone does the same and we have zero threat.

take tadic off at ht and bring on flip. tadic is not even worth a place on the bench at the moment

Disappointing but all teams struggle against sides that come for a point, like Swansea and WHU. We have no cutting edge at all and both Pelle and Tadic are mere shadows of the players at the start of the season. Since December, in truth, on the whole we have struggled to score and it's only mane that ever really looks like scoring. In a strange way Liverpool might suit us - they need to win games and won't/can't come to park the bus. We do need to be clinical though and we are anything but. Realistically it looks like we won't finish lower than 7th and that in itself would be an absolutely incredible achievement. And 17 goals conceded after 25 games? Incredible. Very disappointing tonight but we have 13 more games to make a mark. We are still effectively, with GD, 2 games ahead of both Liverpool and Spurs.

wow....can't believe some of the comments here (actually I can). Liverpool are still 3 points behind and if we win against WHU (which we need to be doing to maintain momentum) we will be 6 clear of Pool and 5 clear of Spurs. So Spurs then would have to win 2 and Liverpool get 2 wins and a draw whilst we lose every game just to get ahead of us. And the games are starting to run out. So long as we keep winning then we are in an unbelievable position: I think 7th is the lowest we will finish now which is extraordinary considering what the general perception was at the start of the season. It is very much in our hands.....win tomorrow and avoid defeats against Liverpool and Spurs and that means only 11 games left: and if both Spurs and Liverpool have to get 2 wins ahead of us that is a huge mountain to climb at this stage of the season.

I think Koeman seems like an honorable and trustworthy guy (unlike that snake in the grass Pochettino). TBH, I would love to see Koeman here longer than 3 years as this would enable us to potentially build something really special.
