  1. Let him rot with the kids....mercenary little s**t: his career was rescued by Saints and he wants to jump ship at the first opportunity. Piece of crap...
  2. If Koeman does want to sign 7-8 players and we spend 18 million on 2 players. How on earth do you think we will "only" spend 25-30 million this window. I would say closer to 60 million is what we will spend.
  3. Potentially a pretty exciting signing.....ready made Lallana replacement for 40% of the cost of Lallana. If it comes off this could be great business.
  4. ok...FF: you seem to have reverted to type. From a few weeks ago saying you felt more confident with the current Board than when NC was the sole decision maker on everything and now you seemt obahve turned full circle. For all those saying the dream died with NC: exactly what dream was that? DO you really think that Lallana and co did not have their heads turned when they made the England squad? Do you really think that Saints could offer 100K+ per week salaries (which they are now getting). We have to get real........we are what we are and despite it being disappointing that the successful team from last season is breaking up I am also equally excited to see what Koeman pulls together to "start the new project". Just to repeat, we had no squad depth last year and without building a stringer squad (not players but squad) it would have been difficult to repeat the success of last seaosn. And lets face it we only played one way and this time round you can bet most teams will have a plan for dealing with the way we played
  5. perhaps a bit optimistic (don't think Lovren or Schneiderlin will be here at kick off) but definitely on the right tracks. last season our lack of squad depth cost us big time....we need a stronger squad to move forward and need to give the Cups a real go this season. Lallana had a golden spell in the middle of last season but then became very ineffective towards the end of the season: like Pochettino, very one dimensional and can only play one way. If we sign this Tadic(?) bloke for around 10 million that could give us a Lallana like creative player and still have 8 million left to spend (Pelle too). So 2 new players that will hopefully strengthen us and the n there is the small matter of 30 million from the Shaw sale which could get us another 4 or 5 players. So we lose 2 players (1 world class, 1 not) and get in 6-7 players to strengthen the squad. What's not to like about that?
  6. What a surprise.....Crab Lungs comes on with a well, well, well statement. very good Crabs - full of information. You truly are making yourself look a prat with your constant negativity and nudge, nudge, wink, wink nothing statements. I'm sure more will leave but others will come in: and that really is the time to judge the Boards intentions. Does that make me ITK like you? Lets face it - do you really want the Board to bust the bank to pay outrageous money to players we can't afford with our small gates? Have you not forgotten what happened last time that approach was tried?
  7. And whose money was Cortese playing with? Certainly not his! It's time for a reality check: we are a mid-table Prem team and the vultures will pick up our best players: in the same way we will pick up other teams best players. To think we can compete with man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City spending power is deluded. Plus our gates are around half of those teams which is a huge commercial gap before even considering they are also global brands and we are not.
  8. Put up or shut up! You used to post some fairly interesting stuff but not any more.....full of nudge, nudge, wink, wink I'm ITK without saying anything of any note. We're still waiting for these bombshells you were going to share because of your unique position with Saints. I'm not Nostradamus but we could all have predicted Shaw, lallana (and probably Lovren too) would be off as well as Pochettino. Like many of the deluded fantasists on this forum, you seem to think that if NC was here none of these players would be leaving. And that is absolute twaddle: if a player wants out then they will leave. Personally, I'd far rather we had players here committed to the cause as opposed to prima donnas wanting out. We are not, and likely never will be, a club of the stature of Arsenal, Man U, Man City, etc and while not ideal that is the truth. Doesn't make them leaving any more palatable but there is squat we (or the club) can do about it. Feel free to slate the Board and the club if we fail to bring in adequate replacements. For all any of us know we may actually strengthen the squad (although individual players may not be as high a caliber as those sold) and improve on last season. Guan seems to be OK with what is lined up and - unlike you - does not seem to have an agenda to attack the club at every opportunity. And I didn't see you, with all your ITK capabilities predicting we would land Koeman as manager. Sure you probably thought limit of our ambition was someone like Steve Bruce.
  9. So Alpine....you underwrote those transfers and know exactly how much we received? No, didn't think so. All reports are stating at least 30million + add ons for Shaw 4 million for Lambert say 18 million net for Lallana = more than your calculations for sure.
  10. Rumor has it (from UI board) that Ings is currently having a medical now and signing is imminent. Poor old Burnley if true.........we get shafted by the big boys and we in turn take the best players from teams the same level/level below us. Unfortunate but the way football works these days. Bring on the Dutch revolution!
  11. Lol.......this is so funny watching the usual suspects having a breakdown! Good grief, anyone who thinks we can keep players who want to leave are nuts: players hold all the cards these days. Best we can do is to get the best price possible (which we have done with Shaw) and get good replacements in. In case anyone has forgotten in their hysteria, we had a paper thin squad last year and when we suffered injuries so did results suffer. While Luke will be impossible to replace (one of a kind) if we can get 3 players in that will strengthen the squad that will be a very good thing. Ditto with that scumbag Lallana....Luke I wish the best to, Lallana I wish the worst of luck. And Clattenburg was obviously very very right about that little twerp.
  12. While disappointed, I wish him the best of luck. Just a reminder for those that might want to slag the lad off, he could have refused to sign a pro contract and gone to Chelsea, Man U, etc for pennies a year or so ago but he did not. Will be nigh on impossible to replace: but also gives a chance to the likes of Taggert to see if they can make the step up. Man U have themselves a helluva player who will only improve...still has no right foot though.
  13. who would believe a word out of the old T****rs mouth? It's all about good ol' Harry. Still bitter he didn't get the England job
  14. washsaint

    Lukaku

After his World Cup I hope we don't go near him. Looks massively overrated - not sure where the 2 strikers we need are going to come from.
  15. Professor - I cannot believe you have posted that. I cannot believe that you think the club would pay any attention to a couple of hundred (max) posters on a forum - what about the other 100K+ Saints fans that don't post on message boards? Seriously deluded.
  16. don't forget we have a s****heap of a club according to Crabs. All falling apart - that's no doubt why a name of the calibre of Koeman signed. Been hysterical watching the overreaction of (quite) a few posters on this board. Hilarious..... Might not work out but a big sign of intent. Lot happier with the current board than with NC as the Napoleon of all around him
  17. So what do you think of our meltdown Crab Lungs? You told us it was all going to hell in a handcart. While it still might, thank god the decision makers are made of sterner stuff than many of our "want it all now" fan base. Welcome Koeman and please be a huge success!
  18. Oh no......now we truly are in meltdown. The sky is falling in,knee jerk posters were obviously right and their disgusting insults aimed at the Board and others were spot on. Or perhaps the knee jerk posters just look like jerks now? To get Koeman in could be very exciting: who knows whether it will work out or not but this is truly a name to savor unlike the days when we could look forward to Dave Jones, Sturrock, Gray et al. Hopefully some stability now and full credit to the Board: they have stuck by their guns and done what they said they would. We are so lucky to have the Liebherrs owning our club: seems like the Swiss traits of honesty and integrity will see us right.
  19. delldays/batman - you really are coming across as a bit of a plank. No-one is saying buying and selling players is wrong or won't happen....what is wrong is that stories keep appearing in the press and "final offers", etc: when it appears Liverpool have offered a derisory (in todays market) 15 million for Lallana and a raft of add ons that will never be met. Scouse gits are trying to do it on the cheap.
  20. Crabs has turned into an exceptionally bitter poster. Starting to think it is actually alpine posting on his behalf. If players don't want to be here screw them well find players who do. I predict the sun will rise tomorrow....does that make me itk? So cone on crabs back up your constant bleating with some cold hard facts. Oh you don't have any..... Sure some players will leave...just like they did at chelsea. And by your one eyed criteria re. Mancini being a failure do you class mourinho in the same bucket because of last season? No didn't think so
  21. Alpine......you truly are a bedwetter of the highest order. You (and Saint Charlie among others) were full of 'the sky is falling in' when MP left and, as per usual, petty and vindictive to staff members at the club. and now it looks like you were wrong (for the umpteenth time) you are desperately trying to make out you never said anything of the sort, etc. Honest question - why do you bother supporting Saints if it makes you so damned miserable all the time?
  22. Sure as hell hope it is not Magath.......he has ended up being despised wherever he has been and unlikely to be enough of a name to attract a high calibre of players. Don't get the link at all - although his odds have dropped considerably and now at 4-1 with the bookies. Koeman still 2-1 on with most. Sure hope bookies have it right this time!
  23. Good grief.....just read that piece and what a truly awful piece it is too. Under Cortese we were going to be pushing for a Top 4 finish soon: really, with what? KL would have had to pump in probably 100 million quid to get close to having a chance. On crowds of 32K? Just not sustainable or realistic. Still, where is Franks Cousin to provide bile at members of the Board under the pretense of stimulating a discussion. perhaps him and Ashton are one and the same?
  24. He has 4 years remaining on his contract....If bid is not high enough then he has to stay. Now starting to think Clatter burg may have had a point re Lallana......does appear to be coming across as a spoilt brat
  25. ToreSF....what just like he has at feyenoord (oh, hang on that didn't happen). Valencia was 6 years ago and they were in turmoil anyway. Just like MP being sacked by Espanyol before getting the saints job..... Koeman fills me with more confidence than David Moyes. Anyone who gets the job will have my full support
