So who are the wealthy among us who can afford to spend over a grand for this? Names please.
-
I think that's a fair summary, tbh. The old maxim of 'promoting someone until they reach their level of incompetence' applies. If Adkins does well, he'll be attracted by "bigger" clubs and if we struggle, the Chairman will want to bring someone else in to have a go. I can see now why many didn't want us to go up!
-
Haha, that's the spirit! Apparently their manager is a Vim Omo.
-
You're all talking about "potentially" - Liverpool are potentially better ... right now being Swansea manager would be a safer seat than Liverpool; being Norwich manager safer (better?) than being Villa manager. I would feel sympathy for Swansea and Norwich fans if these both go through. Rodgers to Liverpool surprises me, and I don't think its a good match. Roberto Martinez is a very good manager and deserved that job at Liverpool. I understand he will stay at Wigan. Their gain. That Dave Whelan should shut up and be grateful he has Martinez and increase his salary.

Whoosh! Vectis' joke went over your head, Wes! Ajax was or is still a floor cleaner! Hence "wipe the floor" with us. Nice one, Vectis.

This is old news, guys. News broke last night. May involve Chappers going the other way. J-Rod believed to be on holiday and we need to agree personal terms. Rather wish this hadn't been made public yet as we don't want to get into a bidding war with other parties who may now top our bid.

I'm hoping that next season Saints will be given the DAB! With Saints in the Prem and Pompey in League 1, surely we should be awarded digital quality coverage. I'm sure DAB Merseyside covers Everton and Liverpool games rather than Tranmere?!

Didn't Kelvin once play for Scotland at some level .... or is that just an urban myth?

I'd be happy with either of these gentlemen on our right wing this coming season. And re above - Nidger is not a regular poster, but writing sense such of this above ... well, we don't see sensible posts very often. -
why has lallana closed his twitter account?

I commented to my lad that the abuse Robbie Savage gets on Twitter is libellous and if he was so minded he should refer it to the Police. To be fair to Robbie, he just rises above it. Sadly some people have a few drinks inside them and think they can hurl abuse over the ethernet. -
I'm sure he is not in NA's thoughts for the 25 places. Hopefully someone can take him on loan to further his career. Otherwise he will be outside the 25 and playing reserve games with no chance of making the first team. At the end of next season his contract is expired and he is a free agent. No longer our "player." Officially unemployed. We were conned on this one. No way "a future England goalkeeper" ..... unless Spurs mumbled under their breath "at hockey."
-
I'm not sure Harry will want to talk to us after we have left his loan star in the reserves for 6 months. That guy has been such a star for us that I can't even remember his name! I'll edit my own post as I soon as it comes to me.

Villa have also released Brad Guzan. The USA do some damn fine goalies. He has only been No2 as he has been behind first Brad Friedel and then Shay Given. Sign him up? -
Rappers Delight - Sugarhill Gang. Rubbish song but if you can keep rapping for the full 8 minutes Mrs SNSUN will be impressed with your stamina.

Fortunately he is pretty committed to us. He said "I have the best job in the world." But yes, I do share your concern. His CV is impressive and could attract suitors. In other news ... Torres speaking out at his role at Chelsea? Worth a cheeky bid and a PAYP deal? -

that's the way I would read it, too. He thinks he needs to get out of the backwaters in Norfolk and into a higher profile Prem club where Hodgson will see him play regularly. Could be wrong, of course. I think he should stay put and public opinion will sway Hodgson sooner or later. -

Hahaha. Maybe we should just sign up Reginald D Hunter! At least he could tell a few stories in his drawl if play is up the other end! -

YES to Jordan Rhodes, NO to Darren Bent. Young and hungry = Rhodes. Kenwyne, hmm, probably not, but possibly. If we are looking at ex-Saints, I'd still love to see Kevin Davies back here. The ONLY player who would deputise for Lambert without us changing our style of play, as he too drifts into midfield and onto the wings. £3M on Rhodes and £2M on Kevin Davies and I'm happy with our attack. All IMHO, of course, I know most will disagree. -
Obviously depends how far Croatia proceed, but I'd go for Jelavic at 66/1. I get the impression he would score goals anywhere and everywhere.
-
I honestly celebrated Citeh's winner MORE than I celebrated our win!! I guess that's because our win was expected and assured when the second goal went in. I've never known the Premier League championship decided in injury time. Before you say Arsenal in 1989, Michael Thomas' goal - that was before the Premier League.

If we could get Dobbie. Ince and Phillips on a 3-for-a-tenner (£10M) deal (like the wine at Sainsburys) then we would be sorted. Have to wait and see who gets up to the Prem with us ... but if Blackpool don't, I'd be more than happy to move for any or all of them. -
Oh I don't know, Survival is the target next season. 10 men plus a keeper behind the ball at all times, and if the bus is available, park that too.
