  1. If we spend any money on players to play for us in the Premier League for the remainder of this season then Les Reed needs shooting. But I'm sure the club aren't that stupid. They'll know we're down and will be looking for Championship-quality players for next season. Back Pellegrino with a couple of free transfers and we could definitely push for midtable perhaps with a loan or two thrown in as well. With Sims, Gallagher, Reed, Pied, Offoloma, Long, Yoshida, Valery and McCarthy we have the makings of a very decent lower league outfit and something we should all be excited about.
  2. I think if Gabbiadini plays the lone role upfront then we'll all see what we've all been saying for so long which is that when Gabbiadini plays the lone role up front on his own without a support striker everybody has been saying the same thing over and over again regarding him playing up top alone which is that it's not his strength.
  3. Went for a bike ride today, using the classic two-wheeled contraption which has been so popular over the years. Wondered what everybody's opinion is on brakes? Yes or no?
  4. Absolutely. This is a factually correct post and it's one which can be agreed with. Ok so the rumours about Reed's personal life are now public and out there for everyone to see (which is another issue but I personally think it's a disgrace that the press got a hold of it) but the abuse he's getting is bordering on homophobic and quite disgusting.
  5. The fact is that if the coverage wasn't covered at all we'd all still be moaning, yet the way it is with only partial coverage and overall complete and total coverage depending on packages, choices, selections and other variants, we are still moaning until the cows do decide to return home. It's NBC yes, and we could argue all day long regarding whether or not NBC does actually cover the football at all, we all know the controversy, but considering Trump's latest comments on the issue it's vitally important we don't just accept what ever deal they throw at us.
  6. Where was all this passion when we had a truly horrific manager in charge? If we had this kind of initiative when Puel the clown was here we might not be in this mess. Too little too late.
  7. Carillo will be well aware that he's being signed for the Championship next season. Keeping that fact a secret to him wouldn't help the club at all, best to be open and realistic. Give him lots of U21 games until the summer and hope he hits the ground running and bangs in the goals to help keep us out of League 1.
  8. I sincerely hope those posters on this thread displaying blatant racism will be banned and reported to the authorities. Shocking.
  9. But he'll be very useful to us in the lower leagues.
  10. Whip might be a bit strong, but of course they'll beat us. Why do our fans think next season in the Championship is going to be a walk in the park? The arrogance is astounding. That is our level and it's going to be a long hard slog to avoid relegation next season.
  11. Whilst some of the criticism of Pellegrino is valid, it's vitally important to remember that he took over immediately after Claude Puel was manager of this club. Imagine you suddenly got put in charge of the Titanic 5 minutes after it hit the iceberg. You'd be pretty miffed if you got the blame for its demise.
  12. It's not worth signing anyone who won't want to play in the Championship next season and League 1 the year after that. We really need to plan for the future, not just the next few months of enjoying our last few games as a Premier League side. Some fans really need a reality check if they think the club are going to try and buy Premier League quality players this window who they'll have to let go in the Summer. They're smarter than that.
  13. You don't even sound convinced yourself! Haha, no seriously though I love the humour. It's exactly what we need right now in these dire times. The only thing that all Saints fans, and I mean all, can agree on is just how woeful Puel was and that how the damage he has inflicted on this club will never be fixed - so whilst it's bloody frustrating that we hired the bloke in the first place, it's a magical gift he's given us by bringing together the fan base in a hatred of a manager that we haven't seen since the Branfoot days. Together as one! Was he a disaster? Yes. Was he the worst manager we have seen? Sure. Did he destroy a wonderful squad? No doubt. But he has brought all fans together like never before and to see jokes like this from OldNick really does wonders to cheer us all up on those gloomy days.
  14. Fixed.
  15. 3 people knocked on my door the other day and asked if I posted on the Saintsweb forum too. I wonder if this is related. Very strange.
  16. Amazingly, he wants to come here. Wages and fee still not sorted though, so Everton feel they can get him.
  17. Are you seriously suggesting we are not already down? **** me I love this forum You'd just never meet people like this in real life! Or perhaps you do they're just afraid to voice their opinions in person and would rather do it from behind a screen. Same for those posters on here who rate or rated Puel too. You'd find it absolutely impossible to find somebody in the real world who think's Puel was anything other than a disaster for us, yet here there are at least 5 posters who think he was good, one even said he was world class. Amazing what you'll find on a message forum, truly amazing.
  18. The abuse Noah is receiving for this comment is appalling considering what his family did for this club. Shocking. Where are the mods at times like these?
  19. Would probably take that right now. They're still a club, still playing matches, they still exist. Phoenix club might be our best bet once we've slipped right down to League 1 or 2 and are on the verge of being wound up. Perhaps time to start thinking about grounds we could use? I'd certainly be willing to chuck a few quid into the pot.
  20. If we can survive the relegation battle next season in the Championship, then we'll be laughing. Would snap your hand off right now if you offered Championship survival on the last day of the season. Then the best we can realistically hope for is a couple of decades in that league. There's no way we're coming back up. But that's fine, we will still be Saints and we'll have a blast no doubt. Lower leagues can be fun.
  21. Goals for Saints seem to get the loudest cheer at St Mary's. Away goals also get a loud cheer but away teams have smaller supporter numbers so the cheer for those goals, whereas still loud, aren't as loud as Southampton Football Club goals.
  22. Feel sorry for him in a way, nobody would have been able to save us from relegation following the absolute mess Puel left this squad in. He isn't showing promise though, and hasn't improved anything that Puel destroyed which is worrying. Probably deserves to stay just as an apology to him for having to manage the clusterf*ck that is an ex-Puel squad.
  23. Theo is interested, but any potential deal is a long way off. Annoying though, cause if he signs I'll have to change my forum role from occasional troll to ITK which just isn't as fun.
  24. Rangers' right back Tavernier looks really good
