  1. We are still down, albeit not yet mathematically (only a matter of time though). But he's certainly the man to take us back up next season.
  2. By Pre-academy programme does that mean coaches going into local schools, or they're opening an actual facility?
  3. People arguing as if we have a choice or not in us being relegated! We're down now so we need to accept it and move on together. Why bash people for saying they'd prefer to watch us in the Championship or League 1 over the Premier League? Not how I feel but if that's how some feel then let them be! They've got their wish now anyway. Next season in the Championship we need a connected fanbase, not a divided one because some people are angry that other fans prefer paying less for tickets and watching a lower quality of football. This forum is insane
  4. The scoreline line really flattered Atalanta, Everton weren't that bad at all. Despite some poor results they've been playing some great stuff, certainly better than us at the moment. We'll do very well to get a draw from this, but Everton should beat us comfortably. 3-0 or 3-1 to them would not be a disaster for us, as we'd avoid the morale destroying thrashing which they could quite easily dish out.
  5. Whilst the allegations made against her are obviously concerning, it's important we don't rush to conclusions about her alleged behaviour on this forum and instead allow her to make a statement in her own time. Asking if she should stay or go based on the very little information we've read in the papers is premature.
  6. The only weak link in that team is Prowse. Fulham will look to exploit that weakness in the middle of the park. Other than him, would love to see a few of those lads get a chance in the first team.
  7. Our team in the Championship next season will be a good one. McCarthy RB - Yoshida - Stephens - Pied Tadic - Hojberg - Davis Long - Austin - Gallagher We will get some decent money from the likes of Gabba, Van Dijk, Lemina, Oriol, Cedric and Bertrand, and release the appalling excuses for footballers such as Ward-Prowse and we'll be left with a half decent squad for a play-off push. Now that relegation this season is practically confirmed it's important that we don't waste any more time focusing on games which we have left remaining this season. The Championship is a long old slog, we need to plan for it now. Forget this season, it's done, what's important is the future and getting out of this tough league at the first attempt. We should all be up for it from game 1.
  8. Should have been sacked as soon as he hired Claude Puel. An act of sabotage is ever there was one.
  9. So we got to a Wembley final under Pellegrino. In other words, he's a World Class manager.
  10. Exactly right. Puel doing well at Leicester wouldn't change the fact he was the worst manager Southampton Football Club has ever had by far.
  11. Thank goodness for that. They would absolutely murder us at the moment.
  12. Because when looking to win games of football, having people in your team who are incapable of playing the game is generally a bad idea.
  13. If he has to come on at all (it's a disgrace that he's getting anywhere near our first team but that's another story) then the 90th minute is the best time for him to come on as he can do the least damage.
  14. We won't win a single one of those, but we will manage to get 2 draws.
  15. Was a very poor rendition of the Last Post too. Sounded like they'd brought in kids from Solent University to play it. Shame.
  16. We deserve this. We've been atrocious.
  17. Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire I didn't expect to see my breakfast again from this morning, but there it is all over my keyboard.
  18. Puel without a doubt. He ripped the heart and soul out of an exciting team and the players are still suffering. The commentators were saying such on Sunday as well. It's clear for everyone to see except a few silly sausages on here who think Puel is some kind of god. He was the worst appointment in recent Southampton FC history by a long way, so Reed needs to take some of the blame for this too. He employed that clown.
  19. This is just magic. Turkish you f*cking imbiclie.
  20. I love Prowse. I really do. He's a top lad, has a cracking sense of humour and cares a lot about local charities too so I've heard. But the fact he starts games of football for a professional side is one of the scandals of our time.
  21. Hoedt hasn't (yet) done anything to show he's better than Yoshida. But we remain hopeful and confident that he will eventually. He needs to shush and wait his turn, then when called upon perform better than he did in his first few performances to keep Yoshi out of the team, who is playing well at the moment.
  22. child /tʃʌɪld/ noun noun: child; plural noun: children a young human being below the age of puberty or below the legal age of majority.
  23. Bet they wish they had the world class Puel
  24. Is that David Earl? Good job getting him.
  25. It's a strange one for Leicester. After winning the Prem not long ago you'd have thought they'd want to do everything they can to stay in the League. Perhaps the owners feel a relegation and a clear out will ultimately do the club good in the long run. It's a risky strategy, but one which could pay off massively. Will just be interested to see if it's this year or next they take the drop.
