I'd love Powell here, a great prospect but think Utd will utilise him in the near future. I wonder what will become of Zaha too... As for the drink driving thing, he'd simply be Guly's replacement.

You'll love it, it's really crusty. There's a lot of crust. Not sure bout the pie tho, sorry.

If you're right, I'll set you up on a date with my mate's mum. Trust me, she makes a lovely Chicken and Vegetable Pie, but then she does have 64 years worth of culinary experience.

Injury problems I think, but he's only 25 and still has a lot left to give if he can get fit. (25! Seems he's been around forever!) He missed out on a Premier League medal as he hadn't played enough games so he's likely to want out. Anyway, does anyone have a list of players that are out of contract this summer or free agents? I've seen links in previous years but I wouldn't know where to look.

Would be OK in the short term but I'd rather we took a punt on Micah Richards.

Well Pardew is off the list of replacements, he's staying with Newcastle apparently... ...breathes a sigh of relief...

My parents gave me £250 john Lewis vouchers for Christmas last year. I wanted the new iPad Air. I put the outstanding amount on their credit card. :-) They haven't said anything yet but I bet I don't get much this Christmas...

Oo Err. I'd have thought bottom blood and semen mixed together would be stripey, surely? This is indeed a difficult petition to sign, as blue is the colour of our arch rivals. Anyway Tan seems to me like the kind of bloke that loves to be loved, so surely it'll only be a matter of time before he switches back. Besides, wasn't the change to red supposed to be a lucky thing? It didn't really make a difference in the end.

Well they took a punt on Chelsea's managerial cast off, no reason they wouldn't try with Utds. Normally there's a lack of managerial candidates but it seems like there's quite a few at the moment. A plus if we do lose Pochettino.

In other footy related goings on tonight, Lloyd James's team is doing better than Lloyd Isgrove's in the battle of the Lloyds.

Ah 'splains it.

No Nasri either. Madness. I don't like the bloke but he's a good footballer!
-
Chuffed for him, another who has got consistently better as we've come up through the leagues. Let's hope he makes it for some reason. Also shows he can achieve International football while at Southampton.
-
I see some Spurs fans want him back there.

:-D A madman, a psycho and Steve Wigley. Mercy, mercy, mercy...

I'd hazard a guess that that's the order the Spurs fans would choose to have their managerial candidates. Benitez has a good track record, and knows the English game inside out. Then de Boer, who has won titles repeatedly with Ajax and would probably have good contacts for transfers, and finally Pochettino, who plays lovely football and can bring out the best in their youth, but so far hasn't won anything, and isn't even in sole control of the transfer dealings at Southampton. Not that it will make a blind bit of difference if Levy's mind is made up. I wonder where Sherwood will end up...

Just looked on the gospel that is Wikipedia. Apparently he's scored 300 goals in 48 appearances. That's quite a goal tally! :-) They seem to have a lot of money to throw around this summer. After the season they've just had, it's understandable, but I can't help thinking they should concentrate on their defence rather than throwing money at attacking talent like Lallana.

[h=3]LATEST GOSSIP[/h]Liverpool have moved ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign 22-year-old Portugal and Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, who has a £37m release clause in his contract. Full story: Daily Star On the BBC live sports feed. Their back up plan in case they don't get Lallana? Or a different player altogether? I'm sure one of you knows!

Can't help but feel he's cocked that up for himself. If he hadn't been such a nutcase, he'd have gone on to get a few more goals for us this season, and his place in the Italy set up wouldn't be in jeopardy. It's a shame that we'll suffer financially. Can anyone see him in a Saints shirt next season? Or has he burned his bridges with is well and truly?

I'd take this one over the summer we were in administration. Markus Liebherr made that a great summer in the end, but from the moment we were put into administration until the start of July when he bought us, we faced a horrible uncertain future, and even then we had to start on -10 points in League One. At least we'll start next season on a level playing field, will still have a good set of players, and will hopefully have even strengthened sufficiently in time for the new season. (Or preferrably in time for pre-season training, although we all know we don't rush summer transfers!) I agree though that this summer will probably push that a close second. The other summer I remember is the one McMenemy and Souness walked out, although if memory serves we signed Kevin Davies quite early on that summer and the Dave Jones appointment didn't take long.

Replaced? No-one has been sold yet, although Balague is usually clued up on matters. I firmly believe if Pochettino stays, it'll be because he's promised money to spend, and will be our best chance of keeping the existing playing personnel. Still, might be a moot point soon. Come on Katherina, show us what your balls are made of! (...or whatever the female equivalent of that expression is...)
-
Well you've a 50 % chance of being right.
-
So if we play down his talents and say he's actually crap, maybe Liverpool won't want him! :-) Seriously of the three Englanders going to the WC, it's Adam's value that will rise during the tournament. Selling him before hand would be nuts, I can see why Liverpool are desperate to conclude the transfer ASAP. If we have to sell him, the fair enough, but I hope our club's powers that be can hold off until at least England are knocked out.

I personally think Spurs will go for De Boer, and if this is the case, I think Pochettino will sign a new contract. Spurs are the step up, and I'm not sure bigger clubs than them would risk appointing a manager with no real success in terms of trophies and titles, in spite of the fact Pochettino plays beautiful football and has a nous for bringing through young players. I may be wrong, but whatever happens I'd love this managerial situation to be concluded by next week, one way or the other. The sooner we get it sorted, the sooner the players can decide how stable the club is and whether we hold aspirations of doing better in the league. If we have to appoint a new boss, whoever it is, and we get the decision right, it may very well be the key to keeping the jewels. Of course Pochettino staying, and signing a new contract, is the best chance we have of showing the "want away" players of our ambitions. Fingers crossed.

I said this on a thread as a joke a while ago but he does have a Champions League on his CV! May have contacts too for transfers, so not a silly choice. Magath did a good job at Fulham too in the short time he was there, and trusted his younger players too. Also has a decent CV. Moyes? Well he'll sure have a point to prove, and will keep us in the media spotlight for some time. in short, I haven't got a clue who I want, but I'd support whoever it is. Although of course I hope it's Pochettino.
