Come on! Photos already!

I loves a weekend signing! Welcome on board Pelle. Two in, 4/5 to go. (Takes Guan's wink as gospel.)
-
That'd be a decent bit of business and would have the attacking midfield spots sewn up. Ramirez-Honda-Tadic has a lovely creative ring to it. When was the last time we loaned a player in? Was it Jos?
-
WBA have signed Left back Sebastian Pocognoli. He was a top purchase on FM 2007 iirc. (The game where Lescott was a good centre back for Everton and Chris Baird was still with us but being kept out the team by a half decent Alex Ostlund.)
-
Would Sharp even want to play for Saints again after we gave him his shot of Premier League football gave him a few minutes (if memory served) and sent him off on loan? That's perhaps more the question than whether he's good enough or not. (Though I agree with some, if Guly can play in the Premier League as a bit part player, I'm sure Sharp could. Far worse strikers have graced the Premier League. We'll never truly know anyway unless we try him for a bit, not that I think we will.)

Bertrand is available for £8 million, not sure if they have another youngster behind him. I'd take Bertrand for around £5-6 million btw.
-
I would hazard a guess that Azpilicueta will still be their first choice left back and they're just looking to strengthen the "Cole" spot. In which case Shaw would've been far too expensive for them.
-
Burnley are certainly strengthening the area Ings plays in. It's easy to come to the conclusion that they're preparing for the worst.
-
Another Frenchman. Would be a good addition for them though. The Jutkiewicz transfer is a strange one, he's a decent player but Prem quality?

Koeman's first Southampton press conference 11/7/14
SNSUN replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
If his head isn't going to be in it, then we might as well take the money and bring in his replacement. I can see Morgan being professional if he's asked to give us another season, Dejan's already shown his unprofessionalism by using the media to say he wants to go. If he's not going to be 100% next season, get rid for Liverpool's big bucks and bring in 1 or 2 new CBs. I'd take a happy Lovren, but is that still possible? -
First manager out is a tricky one. WBA fans will be almost immediately on Irvine's back if they start poorly, as will Newcastle with Pardew though I think they'll do OK this season. As good as Dyche did for Burnley last season, promoted clubs rarely stick by the man that got them there unless they do OK too. Hmmmm, I think A slow start could see Allardyce out of a job, as expectation to do better and change his style at West Ham could prove costly. He's already under pressure. IMO of course.

Lamberts lost it. Some very strange transfers this summer. Cole is long past it and Senderos is error prone. Along with Baker and Clark in their team, they will concede a lot of goals this season. Poor Guzan will have his work cut out. I can see them and WBA struggling.

I really hope Ramirez stays. I think he has great skills and with the right management could be a top player. Pochettino didn't rate him for whatever reason but with the right nurturing he could blossom under Koeman. Ramirez and Tadic pulling the strings sounds great, backed up with youth. Perhaps a winger cum striker addition wouldn't go astray as Jay's out for so long though, it'd provide better strength in depth. (Unless that's earmarked as Mayuka's spot.) Having said that Koeman did say in the interview Tadic was one of a few they wanted. I suppose it depends whether Ramirez stays as to whether we strengthen further.

Koeman's first Southampton press conference 11/7/14
SNSUN replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Very confident with Koeman in charge. I like when he says Jay could be like the best winter transfer for us and that the squad should be ready for the first game of the season. I did not like the pushy Suarez questions. -
Few false transfer stories required. "Southampton are interested in Chelmsford City's Tommy Forecast in a £30 million coup." Then post in in the Liverpool Echo.
-
Yuck, one line paragraphs. I hate that. True story.

Twente will end up hating us as much as we hate Liverpool!

Are West Ham the new Norwich? ;-) I actually think Hull are going about their business well. Snodgrass was one of Norwich's only decent players last season, although perhaps they've overpaid. Seeing how much Tadic cost, compared to say Snodgrass and McCormack today, makes me wonder why anyone shops in this country anymore. Lallana was overpriced too IMO.

One good memory was the surprise win away to Wolves, 6-0 with a Saganowski hat trick. Does that qualify for this Fred?

Crystal Palace away. Relegation season. We lost 3-0 to a Shefki Kuqi, yes Shefki Kuqi, inspired performance. It was bitterly cold and my Palace mate was lauding it over me all game. We were awful, the best player for us that night was a certain Jack Cork. My mate said he liked the look of our right back that day, Lloyd James. He laughed when I told him both our full backs were midfielders. Our team that day: Southampton: 1. Kelvin Davies, 2. Chris Perry, 7. Rudi Skacel, 8. Bradley Wright-Phillips (16. Romain Gasmi, 81), 11. Andrew Surman, 17. David McGoldrick, 20. Adam Lallana, 23. Lloyd James, 30. Jack Cork, 38. Jordon Robertson (33. Joseph Mills, 69), 41. Alex Pearce (10. Paul Wotton, 45). FFS.

Welcome Tadic. Looking forward to seeing him in action. A few more top signings in a short space of time would be mint, and start to make the squad look strong. I'd love it if Koeman could persuade Gaston to stay with the promise of more regular first team football, as I think an up for it Gaston would be like a massive new signing. I wonder what marketing ideas SFC will come up with for Dusan? I reckon something for the ladies, the Tadic Todger perhaps.
