IMO we're a GK, CB, LB, 1 or 2 Attacking Midfielders and 1 or 2 strikers light at present. So up to 7 players short of a strong squad. That's a lot of players and a lot of money required. I wonder how much investment is going to be provided in the summer, whether Katharina will stay put, and whether we can retain our most talented players. It'll be a nervous summer. Let's hope we can do as well as we can in the league this season and not fizzle out. The saving grace is that the World Cup is around the corner, and players will want to stay fit and in their International manager's plans.

Coyr! Half hour left is plenty of time. Lucky fag time coming up... (In the rain)

Replay? :-) I'll take that right now...
-
Subs coming up? I think if anything it shows how important JRod has become for us...

Not over until the fat lady sings... (not that I'll know when that is, as the wife's at work...) be funny if Guly made himself the hero...
-
So 2-1? :-)
-
Hopefully that'll kick the players into doing something and the manager into making changes...

1 min injury time

Does Steven Davis ever have a bad game? Always looks good when I see him. Sunderland look a bit dangerous on the counter, but it's not the best game.

Fantastic saving tackle...

Hope we don't sign Rooney then, that could pose problems...

Yep, not a great line up. Need Wanyama and Lallana to be at their best today if we have any hope of winning this. Full backs the strongest bit of that team. Hope Rickie has his shooting boots on.

I like Guly. After he scored his first goal in League One, I bumped into him in the petrol station just before you join the M3. I gave him a thumbs up and he reciprocated. I felt a special bond from that moment on. :-D I do hope he gets a Premier League goal before he leaves, something to tell the grandkids about.

Us. It's not the first post I phrased badly last night! Was very tired.

I live in the village of Horton, ironically surrounded on all 3 sides by Wraysbury, Datchet and Colnbrook, all 3 of whom are in serious shyte with their flooding problems. Then there's me, standing outside my front door just now, enjoying the tranquility of a calm, quiet if slightly crisp evening with little more than a puddle in sight. It doesn't seem fair when little more than a mile away each side people are suffering such hardship but I guess that's the luck of the draw. I'll take it. The nearest flood is a 3 minute walk away around the corner from my house, and with things scheduled to get worse with the weather, I can't take anything for granted. But for every second that passes that my house is OK, I'm thankful. I'm doing my good deed act tomorrow, ferrying stranded friends around from affected areas. My family home is in Old Windsor too, so my parents are worried too, but so far they remain dry. Incidentally I was at work earlier (at Heathrow) and an Irish passenger came up to me looking white as a sheet. He told me his plane had tried to land 3 times and had to abort each one because of the wind. I recommended Whiskey. He already had a bottle.

I didn't word that very well at all! "The first England debut of many more Saints players, I'm sure!" is what I meant (and even that I've worded badly. #tired #hashtagswillnotworkonSaintsWeb )

What's all this signing relations nonsense? We'll end up more inbred than... (Top thread btw)

Jon Forte is in contention? Good for him. Hasn't played a game in years and he's Bajan. I reckon Adkins had some influence here...

We're 14 points behind a CL spot and 15 clear of relegation zone. Does this mean we're more likely to qualify for the Champions League than get relegated? What are the odds on them? As for where we are, even an average of a point a game puts us on 51 points, surely enough for 8th (and that would be poor form considering - IMO we will do better.)
-
Not sure if it's a good or bad thing Sunderland didn't play tonight, but either way, with little to play for in the league, and Us more in form than when we played them in the league, you'd think we could go on and win this. I'm being optimistic! COYS

Wow, the progress he's made and has continued to make is outstanding. Just over a year ago we were crapping ourselves that Fox was our first choice left back and an untried Shaw (who I seem to remember a few saying wasn't ready yet after an appearance in a cup game) was our only back up. Big congratulations to him if this is true, the first England debut of many more I'm sure.

Steve Bruce is such a decent chap - a breath of fresh air

Doing a good job with Hull IMO and has made some good transfers. Too early to say whether he'd be a better fit than Moyes at Utd? -
The need to keep both, and to keep both sweet, is paramount. I wonder whether the decision to let Fox go was partly inspired by the progress Chambers has made this season - and the ability Clyne has to fill in at left back should the need arise...

11 points clear of West Ham and Villa, which is the start of the bottom of the pack. Cool runnings. West Ham have really turned their form around, fair play.
