  1. It's my 30th birthday drink up this evening, despite not turning 30 for another ten days. Oh, and I don't want to turn 30.
  2. Weird, I pay more for my prostitutes to be shaved bald down there, the opposite must apply in football.
  3. Oh absolutely, and I'd probably feel right at home at Fratton Park, what with the shyte crowds they get! I'm definitely over the phobia though, I went to the Saints Pompey game at SMS last season and the full house didn't bother me (unlike the scoreline), and then I went to Wembley for the JPT final which, while an overwhelming stadium in terms of size, didn't faze me at all.
  4. Antti Niemi made it back to the south coast, took a wrong turning, and ended up fleecing Pompey out of half a million quid.

    Holiday 2011

Looks great, I'm always looking for word of mouth places to go, and I do use trip advisor, but for budgetary reasons I don't go on many holidays, usually it's once every two years and even then it's mostly in England. That said, we went to Camp De Mar in Majorca last year and had a great time, the area is a little secluded for those that fancy some nightlife, but I can't fault the hotel for customer service, food and accomodation. We were thinking of going away in November for some winter sun, but decided to save up a bit more and have a summer holiday next year instead. I'll definitely check this place out.
  6. Ooh that reminds me, I can't watch that programme "Embarassing Illnesses". I don't want to see what other people have wrong with them, it makes me sick. Fungal toe infections et al, are a no no. And yet, I don't mind my OWN body, I've had eczema since I was 12 and I don't bat an eyelid. My missus infrequently gets eczema, and I don't go near her. Quite WHY people want to display their problems on national TV baffles the hell out of me.
  7. I used to be mildly agoraphobic, it's one of the reasons I avoided Saints games for years, it wasn't a phobia of being outside as such, just being around big crowds. I've always been happier indoors, big crowds used to make me nervous. I'm over it now, and I'm bloody glad I did, as I made it to 13 Saints games last year and two this season so far. I can't think of any other fears I have, my missus on a rampage perhaps...
  8. Gareth Bale and Theo Walcott.
  9. Morgan has had two assists in two games and Hammond apparently had a good game too. What with Guly coming on and making an impression, I know I wouldn't want Adkins' job at the moment, that midfield is beginning to look a lot better. Feeling positive about the Bournemouth game now, even if Chappers doesn't play.
  10. Absolutely fan-****ing-tastic signing, I was jumping up and down when I saw this on Twitter. A creative midfielder who did himself no disservice last time he was here. He regularly appears in HCDAJFU summer threads, and I'm very happy with Adkins' first signing. Extend the loan to three months and sign him up in January, I look forward to seeing him in action.
  11. I understand the irony, but I will put forward the fact I wrote that, rushed, in the last 2 minutes of my meal break yesterday. :-) As with anything I write online, I always blame my typing skills, and not my spelling, for **** ups.
  12. Epic Movie is quite simply the worst film I've ever seen. Ever. It will never be surpassed in its crudness. You could film me, sitting on a chair and looking at a wall for 3 hours, and it would still be better than that movie. I haven't seen Mean Machines, but as nothing can be a shyte as Epic Movie, I look forward to seeing it.
  13. It's fine, it's a promise from the bank to pay the bearer so they'll change it. Where I work at Heathrow, we get a plethora of old style notes from people that have been out of the country for years and bring back old currency. Not just last issue either but really old. Coins too, I'd forgotten how big coins were. Proper little weapons. Some of our customers say that the old notes they possess have just been given to them by a foreign currency exchange. Sounds like a scam to me.

    Sheff Wed

Is this not good? If Wednesday were to get wound up, would our 3 points from Saturday get taken away? I know the answer's in the Pompey thread in the Lounge, I just don't want to crawl through it!

    Housework

No, it's easier for her to clean her face.
  16. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11420737 Seems Emma Thompson has been 'having a go' at teenagers talk in slang, and don't pronounciate, or annunciate, properly. At school, English was always my best subject, and I always try to better myself, lest I speak incorrectly or don't know how to spell something. However I don't think teenagers talking the way they do is a bad thing, the advent of text messaging has created a new language in some ways, but not one that sticks around for too long. IMO these teenagers soon realise the need to speak correct English, and the slang gets filtered out of them. What are your thoughts? I see even on this forum people correcting other people's grammer and spelling, nobody's perfect...

Oh yes, as long as said sheets are smoothed out afterwards. :-)
  18. Nah, it'd be joined by a bunch of small *****ed celebrities, looking to boost their egos. Alcohol is my religion, and there are plenty of people in the world that already believe in it!
  19. They'd thank God for me that I was blessed with such meatage, so I still wouldn't avoid the prayer.

    Housework

When I moved in with my missus, we split the chores. I was to clean the lounge, dining room and bedrooms, and she was to do the bathroom, kitchen and stairs. She does the washing, I do the ironing (which I find cathartic), and we split the washing up. A few weeks after moving in with her, I realised she has mild OCD, and my lazy gene kicked in (my worst trait tbf), and knowing she likes things spotless, knew she'd end up cleaning everything. And she does. Not without the moaning though, but I do just enough washing up and ironing to avoid dumpage. The OCD is a bit of a bugger though, every Wii game, every DVD, every coaster is in its exact spot and if it's moved, even slightly, I get a bollocking.
  21. Everyone has the right to a religion, no matter how weird it is, but not if it is rammed down people's throats. Jehovah's Witnesses are a prime example to this, if I wanted to hear passages from the bible, I'd go to church. I don't expect to be interrupted from a daytime Tommy Tank to answer the door to these people.
  22. For a million I'd suck him off AND knob his black-and-white cat.
  23. No, when the insurance documents come through, go and buy it from that point on. I completely didn't realise when I bought my car that it didn't come with tax. I'm not a good buyer, a seller's wet dream, so having bought my car I couldn't even use it until the insurance documents came through. (Although I did drive it home from the car lot, sh!tting my pants the whole way in case I was stopped.) What's worse, when I test drove it, there was a full tank of petrol in it, by the time I took it off the car lot, I have 30 miles worth of petrol left in the tank. Cheating bastards. I should've used that in my negotiations but hey ho, I've learned for next time.
  24. Dude, see a doctor - that's some pretty serious gangrene you've got there...
  25. It seems to me celebrity deaths come in threes, plus seemingly one always goes on Christmas Day. (Although checking Wiki, there's many more than that...)
