  4. BBC Score just reported the Charlton Brighton score as 2-1, 1-2 and 0-3. I don't know which to believe!
  5. Let Nigel Adkins do it. Mwahahahahahha
  6. Scratch that. 2-2, damn.
  7. Pompey losing
  8. The New Saints are doing well, let's hope the good old Saints can follow suit! Wednesday 1-0 up.
  9. It's ok boys, I'm here, we'll win now.
  10. I was 8 when I had mine. It was a Stella. It was also the year I started supporting Saints. I fail to remember if the two are interlinked.
  11. Actually makes Ted Bates statue mk1 an impressive work of art. You can't buy taste.
  12. Two postcodes! How big IS the Galphairm Stadium?!?!
  13. We CAN win this. We've definitely improved under Adkins, strengthened one or two areas, and Guly seems to have aclimatised to the rigours of League One football. Huddersfield's form has been patchy, but they had a good win last weekend, and on paper their team is very strong. Complete and utter 100% performances from every Saints player on Saturday and we can win this, I do, however, think a draw is the most likely outcome. I'm going for a 2-2 draw with a line up of Davis Butterfield, Fonte, Seaborne, Harding Puncheon, Chappers, Hammond, Lallana Guly Lambert subs: Bart, Richardson, Jaidi, Dickson, Morgan, Ox-C, Barnard.
  14. Exactly. Just like every hypothetical question, no-one really knows. Pardew could have flown of the handle one day and broken Lamberts leg. Who knows. Enjoy the now, as the Fosters bloke say.
  15. When I was 18 I went to Mount Teide as part of a coach trip. My lasting memory of the event is stopping for a break, wandering off, and chasing after the coach as it was about to leave. People that climb Volcanos are crazy. As experienced and safe as they may be, there's no telling when nature will bite you on the arse. As with Steve Irwin (God rest his entertaining soul), in a dangerous job, you know that you're going to die, you just don't know when!
  16. I bet a lot of people would want to have sex with a miner. Tis a good job I wasn't trapped down there with them, they'd have died of carbon monoxide poisoning weeks ago.
  17. Love lift us up where we belong... You raise me up... Oh, oh what a feeeeeeeling, when we're dancing on the ceiling... It's oh so quiet, Bjork Don't you want me baby... Rise, Gabrielle
  18. The only services I use on a regular basis are Winchester's, I stop in on my way to a Saints game for a cheeky coffee, and I can't fault them. It gives me a chance to use the free wi-fi to catch up on pre-match talk on here. I can understand people on long journeys have to stop, but it suprises me how many people stop and eat when it's unneccesary. I wouldn't eat in a services anyway, overpriced crap, and usually cold or congealed.
  19. My biggest worry with Pardew leaving, is that nearly every one of his signings was, or is, a hit. Replacing a manager with that statistic would always prove difficult, but I must say, whilst Adkins hasn't had a transfer window to do anything in, he has come in, seen our weak spots, and tried to strengthen them. We don't know what the Reading lad is like, but we did need a striker and now we have one. I look forward to seeing what Adkins can do in the transfer window, making Guly and Chaplow's loans permanent (if they are loans of course...) would be terrific.
  20. Irrespective of how we could've fared under Pards, I get the feeling we're in safe hands now. Life as a Saints fan since the turn of the century is full of whatifs, most are too painful to think about.

Barring administration, one of the worst things to come out of relegation from the Premiership was losing our talented youngsters. Walcott, Bale and Baird, with Premiership signings, and we'd have been pushing for Europe. The question remains whether they'd have got much game time, but it doesn't bear thinking about how good our team would've been.
  22. In no way would signing Chaplow be a bad thing, thus we have to make him feel wanted and play him. Stick with the winning formula and give Morgan a short rest. They're men, not machines, have Morgan on the bench in case but stick with Dean and Chappers.
  23. Sorry Morgan, but you don't change an impressive team performance. Chaplow and Hammond for me. nice headache though.
  24. 14 imo

Whilst he's probably just making up the numbers, it's not unfeasible that Doble could make a Welsh appearance. Have any other players, Saints or otherwise, ever made first appearance for their country before making their first appearance for their club? Though I've not seen him play, it suprises me that he got a full call up, Wales must be short on strikers...
