    McDonald's

Love it? Hate it? For me, it's a rare treat, but just lately I've become nearly addicted to their Breakfast Wrap, despite reading that it's more fattening than a Big Mac. What's your favourite menu item, and how often (if at all) do you feast here?
  2. http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/165647-gary-megson-sacked/ Wednesday fans appear to be unanimously effed off with Mandaric!
  3. First Clark, now Megson. It shows the pressure to get out that league and into the nPC.
  4. I think it's a 1pm kick off. Anyway if it's a top two finish, level on points, and with goal difference to decide on separating the teams, I wouldn't give a stuff, because either way we'll be going up. That said, ours is better for a reason, tight defence and quality goalscoring options.
  5. No-one can rig a poll quite like the Norwich peeps!
  6. Whoops. Reverse the order of the last sentence. :-S
  7. I think this is the most important Lambert stat of all. Huddersfield said he was too old at 28 to take a punt on, as his resale value would be poor. Now he's 30, I still think we'd recoup more than what we paid for him, and quite a bit more to boot. Our chances of keeping hold of him are boosted because of his age - and yet I reckon he still has a good 5 years at the top level ahead of him. He loves it here, we love him, I can see him retiring with us. As for Lambert over Carroll? No thanks.
  8. Consistance over the whole campaign of a good or exceptional nature. I'd also add importance to the team into the mix. For me, there are two standout candidates this season, Rickie and Jos. Jos was an unknown entity when he signed, but has been consistantly solid at the back, chipping in with goals, and it takes a lot in the eyes of the Saints supporters to be better than Jose, and he has. Rickie though, takes brilliance to another level. The Championship is a new league for him, but not only has he become top scorer in it, but he offers to much more to the team with incise passing, assists and commitment. Without Rickie, I'm pretty certain that we'd be lower down in the table, even if somebody had stepped up in his place. So it comes down to who is more important to us this season, and as Martin did a good covering job during Jos's absence, it has to be Rickie thus far. Can the outcome be changed? Well it depends on player's form until the end of the season, but Guly, Adam, Cork and Morgan would need to win us this league single handedly to displace Jos and Rickie as the top two.
  9. Maybe I took it too far. Skates to go down, West Ham to stay down! Much better.
  10. I know I sometimes have rose-tinted specs about my team, but when we talk about promotion, mostly it's "if". With West Ham, it's "when". They set up a celebration boat cruise before even the turn of the year. We haven't. The West Ham fan I work with "hopes we get second" behind them. It all adds to my annoyance.
  11. My post wasn't just based on that article. I read KUMB from time to time and their arrogance is there for all to see.
  12. Closure technically can be achieved when we achieve promotion back to the Premier League, and get rid of Forecast! In my mind, when we hit rock bottom in League One, clawing our -10 points back, I knew after that we'd see nothing but positives. I was right - we've had sensible investment, the signing of decent players and something to cheer about every season since, amd will hopefully continue to do so.
  13. Yet another cocky example of West Ham assuming their promotion is already sewn up. My God how I would love to see them falter. This season (and this season only) if you offered me Pompey to stay up and West Ham to stay down, or the other way around, I'd choose West Ham and Pompey to start next season in the nPC. West Ham have so much arrogance it annoys me.
  14. For us, I agree. Broken hearted, shattered, tired, demoralised. I actually feel sorry for them - they did so well to pull it back to 2-2 when most of the team couldn't even walk.
  15. He'll have a part to play yet. We need every player for the run in, and we haven't seen the best of him yet. He can't be costing us much in wages surely, so he's a minimal risk.
  16. Good signing for them. Shows money doesn't always buy you success though.
  17. I agree. Holt isn't as good as Rickie IMO, but Holt has been playing in the higher league this season. Anyone can see Rickie's class though, he would do a great job for England. Graham should get his chance, but it's a great time to try new players. (Come on, call up Adam!)
  18. I was a semi-regular there a few years ago. Either I was always unlucky enough to get their B-team, or that was how it ws always done.
  19. You sell TCWTB's bell. Collect £5 from Saints fans who'll melt it down, turn it into a dildo, and shove it up the bum of TC.
  20. If you offered me a 17th placed finish in the Prem next season now, I'd bite your fricking hand off. Yes please!
  21. Community Chest - You open an offshore account in your dog's name. Pocket £500k. This card doubles as a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card.
  22. Gay Zombies attack Brighton. Brightonites turn on Zombies, Zombies run to Portsmouth, feel at home, settle down with their new Skate wives. The title will be Zombandits.
  23. I've sung "God save the Queen" at St Pauls many a time, in front of Her Majesty, (and once at Hampton Court Palace) with the full trumpet fanfare blaring out at the beginning. It sends a chill down your spine, I can tell ye, and thus I am biased. On the topic of others, is it the German national anthem that goes on forever? I get so bored of that at the end of the F1 races.
  24. I think even if we played the youth, with the intention of drawing against Coventry, we'd still win, because when I've seen Coventry play they've been truly awful. I think though that whatever happens, we'll need all three points on that last day of the season, and I think Pompey will be down before that. Their ten point deduction will have been a massive boost to those clubs scrambling around at the bottom.
