It's frustrating to see how ex-players do for other clubs. Garry Monk is the other centre back that springs to mind. Also, watching the highlights show, it's annoying to see how Antonio is doing for Reading. I know he's history to us now, but I'd still love to see him back one day.

I'm gutted. I was looking forward to going to this one tonight but I fell ill overnight and now I have a night in front of the internet scraping through with commentary from Saints Player. I reckon I could be missing a classic too, a masterclass in Saints finishing. :-( Seven shifts in a row at work and I choose my rest day to fall ill. Stupid karma. (Mistaking a disabled person for a child the other day at work probably won me this.)

Harding is one of my favourite current players, but it has to be said he hasn't been the player he was last season so far. With such strong competition for the position in Dickson, it's fair to say perhaps Dickson should be given a run. However Harding is a pro, any knocks he takes in form he will bounce back from, and currently the team is winning their games, so Harding shouldn't be changed just yet. As for Punch, whilst The OC is a great little player, he shouldn't be in the starting line up just yet. Punch hasn't been as effective as last season yet, but is currently the best option for his position. (Though I would still start Lallana and him on the opposite flanks but that's just my opinion.) He's recently upped his workrate too, and that will prove dividends for him in the long run.

Even if I won the lottery, I'd want to work. The attraction to do bugger all would be great for a short while, but you'd soon get bored of it. I'd probably buy a pub and run it. I love work, not only does it give me a sense of longing, and satisfaction that I'd earning money to keep my missus and myself in accommodation, but it also gives me a chance to meet new people and have other friends besides my own. I do get paid a lot, but in my old job working for a boat company, I was on minimum wage, and I still enjoyed that. In fact, it was the best job I will ever have I reckon. I do know that if I ever lost my job in the Tube, I'd go back to being a temp until I found something more permanently. Living off the government wouldn't suit me. My friend finished Uni in 2002, and has spent the last 8 years travelling around the world, scraping through on handouts and things. As much fun as he's had, he'll grow old regretting it IMO. Me, I need to know where my next pay cheque is coming from.

Yep, I hold the doors open for people but there is a time and a place. Trying to get in the bogs in the Kingsland at half time and all manners go out the window - I need a wee, it's each man to themselves!
