  1. 3 games, pick any three of our last ten games to use as our games in hand and I'm confident of six or more points.
  2. Make the most of it, the footballless summer months will bring boredom aplenty.
  3. 1-1 against Charlton would've been a good result on Boxing Day, and whilst Charlton's form has been iffy I still think a point the other day was a good result. I think it'll be a tight finish to the season, a one point job, and we can look back on that point and see it in a positive light. My mind is drawn to the narrow escape we had from relegation in the CCC in 2008. West Brom aced that league, and yet we somehow picked up a point in the penultimate game thanks to Adam's strike which laid the platform for our last day escape. 10 games to go is still too far out to decide how we'll finish. In five games time, we'll have a much clearer picture.
  4. We have the squad imo. Forte, Stephens, N'Guessan, Connolly, Guly, Richardson, Dickson, Martin and Seaborne may all have massive parts to play in these last ten games...
  5. It'd be interesting to see the others finish their season without us playing another game, then play our last ten knowing what we need. Hmm, I'm bored too.
  6. I was thinking avoiding relegation on the last day but, sure, i'll go glass half full with your suggestion!
  7. It has been driven into us as Saints fans in the last few years not to expect anything good to happen, to suffer when something seemingly good happens, to worry about winning even when we're 2 or 3 goals up in a match. Saints fans doubt our ability to go up because of this, but to any neutral, we're in prime position. That's the problem for me, I hate us being the favourite for anything. Not to say it won't happen of course, it probably will, the JPT final showed us that favourites can win. Last season, we had that to cheer, this season we may have promotion to cheer. Next season...
  8. Lallana, sod the injuries, we've struggled without him in the side for a reason. Keep him until he retires and he has the potential to win every player of the season award no matter what division we're in. Premiership quality imo.
  9. I can't remember which opposition messageboard said it, but Barnard is one of those players you'd much rather have playing for your side than against it. That, to me, is high praise indeed. If the opposition are frustrated with him, he's doing his job very well. Lambert is class, but Barnard is a natural finisher. Ok, maybe his positioning isn't World Class, but he works so hard he tends to find position eventually. He'd be automatic choice if I were manager, if we lose him at the tail end of the season it'll be a big loss.
  10. First of 3 signings before 5pm. Good stuff. I am not itk...
  11. Good penalty takers would be key in a play off final... Still good stats. Our midfielders score because they have a good team around them with plenty of chances on offer. Oldham aren't the worst team ever but I would imagine chances are harder to come across. Then we look at Morgan's goal stats ... I would personally take either of Stephens and Howard, or both!
  12. Damn, thought this thread was about Skacel. False alarm people.
  13. Time is pressing, but we've still got about half an hour until Twitter announces something. And if not, Anthony Pulis anyone?
  14. I remember her in her finest film role, she stole the movie from her co-stars. Incidentally I must purchase The Flintstones on DVD.
  15. I have it on good authority that Rudi Skacel will finally sign for Saints, thus ending the six year saga.
  16. I don't particularly like them, but a round of applause to Brighton, who seem to have top spot well in their grasp, they keep picking up the results like tonight. It's a battle for second now.
  17. Actually technically, if we keep doing "this" with our games in hand, we would actually be above Huddersfield on goal difference. But I get your point. We do need to take advantage. Typical Saints would be to leave it until the last game of the season and have us all crapping our pants.
  18. Can't say I tak any happiness in predicting the right result, but Charlton fans will be ecstatic with that result. Fecking Wright-Phillips. It would have been a great feeling to be second tonight, but hey ho.
  19. Come on Saints, stop ******* bottling it when the going get tough....
  20. BALLOCKS! My prediction is 1-1 but that doesn't make me feel any better. Still time to win this - Forte to show what he can do.
  21. Can't log on to Saints Player so scathing email just sent. Still, Jaidi's goal helps numb the anger. Woo.
  22. Two injuries to our two best players is just bad luck. Time for Guly, N'Guessan and Forte to prove they're not just squad players but should be in the first team.
  23. I'll be cheering on MK Dons tonight almost as loudly as I'll be cheering Saints on tomorrow. While our automatic promotion hopes are still firmly in our own hands, it can only be a good thing to have the rivals for the spot dropping points, it'd be a major confidence boost to our lads. Tough game tomorrow though, perhaps the toughest of the next three. Win it, and we really should be favourites for promotion. I'll take a draw, which incidentally is what I think will happen. 1-1.
  24. We're still winning ugly, but that's fine by me, as long as we do keep winning. What I was pleased about on Saturday was how good our players are technically. Rickie's goal showed great technique, Dean Hammond had a great shot that required some effort to keep it down, and Alex's curling shot at goal, which was on target and made with his weaker foot. Good stuff. Wednesday were woeful, we won't always get it that easy - I was however suprised when they substituted Osbourne - who had up to that point been their best player. (Sans their keeper.)
