I have little time for the league cup really, but I have always loved the fa cup. I have felt it is the ultimate prize for a club like us realistically. My dream is for us to win it in my lifetime. Although I didn't go, the watford semi is one of if not the biggest buzz I have felt as a saints fan. In contrast the final result was like a 2 week hangover, maybe I was one of the few who felt like that. The further we go the bigger the buzz will be. Fa cup will never lose it's shine for me.

Perhaps our recent run may encourage the club to strengthen our thin squad. This period has reaffirmed what we all knew concerning our lack of strength in depth. the recent run has been poor regardless and I think mp has some work to do. He needs to address the slide ASAP to avoid unwanted speculation. Shame to see our incredible start go to pot hopefully a couple of fresh faces and return of some players will see us kick on. Still think we will finish between 8th and 10th which would be good IMO but a bit of a anti climax after our amazing start. We need to get back to basics and build from the back which was key to our great start

Tbh I don't always agree with your opinions but I think you hit the nail on the head with this post. However I think and hope that he says one thing to the press and another in the changing room. It annoys me none the less.

How about a bit of praise for Gaston?

Everton slightly more effective with and without the ball. that said we have probably created the better chances towards the end of the half. We are playing too narrow. JWP having a mare, needs to work on his upper body strength, same with Reed. Would like to see Gaston come on and provide a bit more creativity.

Really miss going to st Mary's. Never had a season ticket even when I went pretty much every home game. time I left 2.5 years ago I went once a month. Went to man city home last season and picked a cracker! 75% of our games are in glorious hd here so that really helps, not a patch on the whole match day experience though. Toronto fc at least gives me a chance to watch live football now and again but the mls is horrible.
