  1. Seeing as the club got horribly out of condition and then, following the introduction of a foreign body, fought its way back to full fitness.... .... A gastric band?
  2. Didn't you go to le tiss's testimonial?
  3. Some stuff on here I didn't know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dell_(Southampton)
  4. Let's go Wilde? I could get my t shirt out.
  5. Mark wotte and, umm, the other one?
  6. I'm confused, is this one of the images on the DVD? If so, can't wait till mine turns up.
  7. I want to get hold of the software they've used for the accompanying video on saints player as it all looks very realistic.
  8. I was just thinking whether we have ever had such a good start to a top flight season? 13th before a ball is kicked. Not at all bad for S.
  9. Just checked - my 1989/90 season ticket cost £138. This year it will cost me £625 for a very similar seat. Works out as 6.8% pa. Not as bad as I was expecting.
  10. Yes, and why hasn't he commented on whether skachel has signed yet?
  11. Looks like it would take around another decade in the top flight to get near 10th, and that assumes Blackburn don't come back up and West Ham don't do too well.
  12. If, as I hope, Nige lasts until April, he'll be our longest serving manager since Chris Nichol. Let's hope he goes on to break Chris's record and then each of Chris's two predecessors!
  13. Pretty sure a mate of mine had one of these for season just gone. Think you could opt out of certain games too.
  14. Rudi Skacel bagged a brace in the Scottish cup final today..... Not sure there is time to sign him for next season though.
  15. I remember the whole away end being rebuked by the great man after a rousing rendition of "David Connelly, he's back from the dead" at Brentford.
  16. I was wondering what Gordon Hobson had to do with it. I think the op was suggesting it was morton's fork, but I disagree as Blackpool are clearly preferable winners in my book.
  17. Pat Ford, if my 'unbelievable' memory is correct.
  18. With our 5 year plan and 60000 seat stadium it's only a matter of time before (signings of the likes of) de wiel's come off.
  19. I remember when a generous local car dealership allowed fans to attempt to win a (cheap VW if i remember) car by chipping directly in to the boot. To reduce the risk of paying out the ball had to be kicked from the centre spot, without bouncing, and the car was near the corner flag. The boot might as well have been closed. I remember le tiss had a pop and even he got nowhere near.
  20. Think you mean sir alf
  21. ? Keegan's transfers pre-dated the Bosman ruling. Although he may have been at the end of his contract, the transfer to Hamburg was a record at £500k I think. The transfer to us wasn't far off the record at that time, at £400k, if my memory serves. Equivalent to us splashing out £30M- £40M now, allowing for mad football inflation.
  22. One of them looks a bit Turkish to me.
  23. This evening's evening standard has a full page ad encouraging happy hammers fans to snap up all the unsold tickets for the hull game - as encouragement, it says you will get priority for play off tickets :-)
