  1. RM is trying to cook the brick until it’s tender.
  2. Pellegrino has much the same attitude. Concentrate on playing the way that he wanted and results are secondary.
  3. A one pace pony. And that pace is ‘funereal’
  4. That almost never happens in professional football. Three players break clear with only the keeper to beat.
  5. To stay in another EU country you had to be either economically active, or a student, or financially independent. Belgium, for example, rigidly enforce these rules. But without ID cards it’s more difficult to prove who is eligible and who is not.
  6. Attacking at pace would indeed be a welcome novelty.
  7. Or Europe. I’s only Freedom of Movement of Labour
  8. Pep would have been too young.
  9. It was never an unqualified right to live anywhere in the EU. Other countries enforced the restrictions. The UK didn't. And if you believed that goalmouth Farage it proces the points made earlier.
  10. You only need to look at the people who thought it was a good idea to know that it would be a bad idea.
  11. I don’t think I ever saw him play despite have season ticket.
  12. We should have scored more, not saved the single goals.
  13. Society is still paying for it.
  14. Are you sure that's water?
  15. We needed another 12 points. How many goals would these two have scored?
  16. A better keeper will lead to better results. But in a team with a bad defence he may not make a big difference.
  17. And that’s what’s fundamentally wrong about it. Television has changed the Laws of the Game and not for the better. This business about not flagging immediately for offside is one example. An offside player who is not flagged can run through and win a corner from which play continues. This is not right.
  18. I would prefer that they used the badge on the shirt as the marker. It’s what is effectively used in athletics. Having said that, I would prefer that it wasn’t used at all.
  19. As has never been proven. Please don’t make up your own facts.
  20. Times change. And so should the Laws of offside if they are going to be affected by TV.
  21. When the offside law was introduced it was never intended that it should be judged to the nearest millimetre.
  22. After five games? Really? Of course they mean nothing.
  23. Well done for giving it a go. I hung up my whistle a long time ago but even then the influence of TV was considered a problem.
  24. Of course she did but I don’t think she included herself amongst the ‘we’.
  25. It’s the same the whole world over.
