  1. Complain to the police, make it clear that the 'masons are involved and you don't want any lodge members handling you complaint or you'll take it straight to the press.
  2. Other than the abductor/ murderer you mean? Unless of course the poor girl just wandered off and got lost.
  3. Yeah I've had some of those tapas. You can eat 20 and 10 minutes later you're ravenous.
  4. You've clearly never seen West Ham play
  5. In the history of Southampton Football Club he won't even merit a footnote. A toenote maybe.
  6. I am having a clear out and I have two publications going free to a good home: The Falklands War, Marshall Cavendish 14 part series in binder The Battle for the Falklands, Max Hastings & Simon Jenkins, Book Club Associates 1983. Anyone interested please PM me. I can drop them in anywhere in the South Hampshire area.
  7. Bad attitude: get rid.
  8. Walcott has only just returned to first team training after 9 months.
  9. The U11 ticket may be free but you still pay the ticket tax on it.
  10. What, turn up late and fight for a seat?
  11. I've said this before, that if you think there's and intruder in your house your first thought is for the safety of the one you love. In this case it appears that meant himself.
  12. Cruises are wonderful holidays. We've done plenty and have been to all sorts of places that we would not have otherwise considered. We are definitely not snobs but you do meet some other passengers who like to think that they are. They treat the place like some sort of golf club that shouldn't have let you in.
  13. All these arguments are saying is that if we'd kept Boruc then we could never sign another keeper and play him ahead of the whinger. No club can ever have an employee telling them who to pick.
  14. It's 50 years since my O level and all I remember is: Caesar adsum jam forte, sed Brutus passus sum.
  15. Who'd want him now that they know he's going to throw his dummy out of the pram whenever he's unhappy?
  16. Only a racist could find that photo racist.
  17. I wonder if the investigators would have been as keen if it had taken place in Poland instead of Portugal.
  18. And shouldn't it be 'sed' instead of 'et'?
  19. It's no wonder it's gone with all that stuff hanging off it.
  20. It can get quite profound. I researched quite a bit of my family history a few years ago until other events overtook me. I found that reading about their lives and community brought me closer to my ancestors and I like to think that somewhere down the line my descendants will discover things about me and my life and how it might have affected their circumstances. I know, for example, that my parents and their generation had to go without so that I could enjoy the beneifts and pass some of them on through my children.
  21. My wife drives the car. I just hold the steering wheel.
  22. It was a tragedy for the town. My wife's friend lost a grandfather on it.
  23. Quite right too. Everything that has happened has a part to play in our everyday lives, but is something that happened a 100 years ago further away than something that happened last year? I suppose the significance is in the lives of the people affected. History is just other people's lives.
  24. You've put it far better than I could.
