  1. Euros, that is.
  2. It's only in the paper until 3 o'clock and then it'll be withdrawn.
  3. They make better lampshades.
  4. You wait 'til you've drunk some and then see what happens.
  5. I take it that we have a lot of compensation for his behaviour.
  6. All of the above, and more.
  7. Good point. He could always do an Elephant Man and wear a bag on his head. Then we'd all know who he was.
  8. I disagree. I don't want anyone to have to cover their faces in public.
  9. 'Arse all'? There are plenty of other clubs like that (And I agree with you)
  10. You've been away a long while! Not for a long, long time.
  11. I'm pleased for Bournemouth (not forgetting Bristol Rovers) but I'm already thinking of ways to spend the money I'm sure we can get better for half that price.
  12. What about the ones joining?
  13. I look at it this way: suppose we clear about £18m from the deal. If he hadn't played for us before, should we be looking to pay that much for him or would we be better looking elsewhere?
  14. Canicula!
  15. Wouldn't an A be a one letter abbreviation and therefore a OLA?
  16. Sorry, didn't know we were limited to three. ( 'None of those is a' ? )
  17. You must have realised by now that I am of the old school and in my day Latin was almost the Lingua Franca (never quite worked that out?) of the scientific community and indeed I have an O-Level from 1965 gathering mildew in a draw somewhere. I knew you knew but my comments are partly aimed at the wider community. One day my sort will have died out and then you'll all be able to say what you like
  18. Yes, I believe so. I saw him looking at shirts in M&S at Hedge End just before last Christmas (or 2012) and gave him some of my discount vouchers for which he seemed very pleased.
  19. Oh, all right, but only if you pronounce it 'doff'. I can't see CFO ever being anything other than an abbreviation though. QED is an abbreviation of 'Quod Erat Demonstrandum' which is Latin for 'which is what was to be demonstrated' and should only be used properly at the conclusion of a mathematical proof, although a lot of people use it as 'therefore' these days. Anyway, back to the footy
  20. Yes, it should have been "We are Southampton, we're off"
  21. Yeah, that too. Perhaps I should have used laser or quango or scuba.
  22. Sure it's not a Roonerspism?
  23. Has he signed yet?
