At the moment, I don't think it is seen as a priority. I'm sure that something will be sorted out in the close season (may be Patron of 125 years celebration) but at present Cortese is a one-man-band running the business and until he get his executive team finalised, I can't see him awarding figure-head posts.

Anyone know whether (if England fail to get 2018 ) we will be allowed to make a bid in 2022, assuming England bid again?

2 reason's really. First, yer man Eastmond. His preferred position is scrum half (and has already been handed the number 7 jersey) and they don't want to hold him back any longer. Second. salary cap. With Eastmond being first choice scrum half, Long would become a bit part player and utility half back. That is no good to Long at this stage of his career and it also stifles team development because Long will be eating a huge chuck out of the salary cap (probably one of, if not the biggest wage earners.

I know that but this group was created a couple of years ago. It's because anyone from the Southampton area has "(Portsmouth)" tagged after their name. I'm lucky because I'm not in a facebook network area but I sure as hell wouldn't want that tagged to my name!! I'll use Daren W as an example. He started many of the Saints groups on facebook but under group creator he is Daren Wheeler (Portsmouth). Bugger that!!!

Good news for St Helens and for England RL. Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't follow Ellis and Burgess out to the NRL in a couple years, rather than going over to the dark side like Lee Smith. Planning to go to Knowsley Rd for the first game of the season. Will be in the away end though!!

Horses for courses. Perry reads the game better than just about everybody else in the squad but of course very much lacks pace. If we are up against a big lump with no pace, Jaidi can deal with him in the air and Perry on the ground. Playing against quicker, more nimble and skillful strikers we would definitely need Trotman's extra pace.

Could auction the original and sell signed and numbered limited issue prints.
