  1. Last season the whole team's confidence was shot and they were scared to play. That has been completely transformed, we are winning games and they want to get on the ball and show what they can do with it.
  2. We haven't done too badly. Beat MK, drew with Charlton, Colchester and Norwich. Still Wallsall won't be easy on their patch and they have won more points than us (30 to our 29), so it will be a test!
  3. I think people on here would be more interested of Ron Davies originals of Saints stars past and present, in particular signed sketches of himself during his Saints career (The Old Trafford 4, maybe?).
  4. Just changed my prediction from 4-0 to 3-1 for that very reason.
  5. Nominees are selected from Sports Journalists throughout the country, so BBC has nothing to do with determining the list. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tv_and_radio/sports_personality_of_the_year/8386785.stm
  6. Their FA chairman was interviewed this morning denying that the "33rd team" was what was requested and that Blatter is trying to smear their campaign for reinstatement.
  7. Any ideas on who's in the running for Young Sporting Personality?
  8. Couldn't agree more! The priority is the next game, whatever the competition.
  9. Didn't the club owe money to FF and Gary Chalk, last season for books supplied to the Saints Megastore?
  10. In my mind we have never lost to the Skates in any match, period! That may just be traumatic stress memory loss though!
  11. He also failed to notice that Murty and Harding were in the Millwall game, nether of which were inherited by AP. I'd be much more worried about our finishing position if we didn't have AP, his coaching staff and the players he recruited.
  12. How do Exeter, Plymouth and Torquay qualify as derby games? Reading, Swindon, Oxford and even the west London clubs are closer than them.
  13. Forest Green Rovers or York City away!
  14. Maybe so but we've rigged polls before. Leave a message of support here and see where it takes us! http://www.2018england.co.uk/southampton-hoping-to-be-allowed-late-city-bid.html
  15. I agree but I always thought The Liverpool/Everton thing made sense with the new Stanley Park ground proposed to be built slap bang in the middle of the two existing grounds (possibly with an Everton rather than Anfield area address), and Everton proposing to move out of town to Kirkby. One end of the new stadium could and should be called the Kop and the other the Gwladys end. The Kop obviously being the home end when Liverpool play but the away end for Everton games.
  16. Of course!! They've sold out against Man Utd and only BIG clubs do that!!! :---)
  17. We don't need any more loanees, we've got 4 as it is! If we need to strengthen the team further, it will be permanent signings in January and extending the loan periods of those we already have, signing THEM on permanently or replacing them with other loans for the remainder of the season.
  18. This from the Torquay OS dated 1st September: Michael Poke has made a swift return to Plainmoor when he completed a loan move back to the Gulls earlier today. Fresh from playing a huge part in United's return to the Football League back in May Michael's loan will run until January 2nd 2010 with a recall clause for exceptional circumstances included. Michael will be available for selection at the weekend for the visit of Bournemouth as he starts his third spell at the club. What's the point of putting a clause like that in, if you are unable to recall the player, when your first choice gets injured?
  19. Blimey! He was doing a hell of a lot of talking about it today, if it's nothing to do with him!!
  20. With Lord Mal Whinger in charge, nothing I guess?
  21. Will be legit IMO! http://www.performgroup.com/page/CServices/0,,12605,00.html
  22. This is true but Jonny Wilkinson has to make similar adjustment when kicking penalties for England.
  23. They obviously haven't seen Forecast play then!
  24. I agree with this and can see us continuing at about 1.8 ppg. Without the 10 point deduction I would have predicted a 4th place finish (even with the start we made) but making up the deficit (IMO) was always going to be too much. I reckon we'll finish around 9th spot, 4 or 5 points short of the play-offs.
  25. Yep! Edited now!!
