i'm sorry but i dont believe a word of this. I seriously expect NA to be given NC full support. I can not see changing the manager making any difference at the moment.

Redknapp coming back is the most absurd thing i seen posted here. How does anyone ever think NC would ever work with that man is beyond me!

Training Ground Development - "temporarily suspended"
BARCELONASAINT replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
wait for all the conspiracy theories to start now! -
Ummm, let me think about this for a nano second!.....Jason Puncheon springs to mind. We did what the club viewed was right for the club and refused to let the player just walk away or go for under what we valued him at. At the end of the day we now have a player that has started showing the promise we obviously saw when we bought him. Now i'm not for one moment saying RD is the same as JP, but it is for the club to decide what is in the clubs best interest and not us. We don't run the club thank god and to be fair 99.9% have not an inkling of what goes on at board level. I trust the club make sound decisions based on the interest of the club and thats all i care about.

He was on holiday with his father in NICE when the accident happened. How he did it i do not know but it was not on international duty being a silly bugger!
-
What a shocker, player grumbles about the nasty chairman doing whats in the best interest of the club. Funny how we still manage to sign all these very decent players and existing players want or have extended their contracts.....its really quite amazing when we have the devil incarnate as chairman!

My god was that write up done by a 5 year old!

I don't think Kelvin is screwd at all. I think it's very clever management by NA. He fully knows the bloke took the brunt of fans criticism when Sunderland were relegated and he is aware again his number 1 keeper is under intense pressure again from the fans for shipping 14 goals in 4 matches. Kelvin needed taking out of the firing line yesterday before his confidence was totally shattered and NA recognised this. Gazza is the future otherwise we would not have bought him.....but i do not think he is the immediate answer and yesterdays signing of Boruc i believe shows that. I still think KD has a future here but it will depend hugely on how he reacts to this set back.....NA might well have saved KD season by taking him out of the firing line yesterday.

The club have been very quiet on Lee. HE IS INJURED! He came through Southampton airport with his father (returning from NICE) just over a week ago with his right arm in plaster. How bad the arm/wrist injury is i have no idea but thats why he hasnt featured since the international break.
-
It is very funny how short some fans memories are! A few years ago we almost folded totally. We were saved and ever since things have flourished. We have a decent team that plays attractive football. I trust our management.

I'm no Puncheon fan and the way he treated Saints i thought he should have been booted out the club.......however he has been given a fresh start and i have to say IMHO i think he has grabbed that opportunity and has looked one of our better players....i would start him against Villa

Arsenal 6 - 1 Saints - Post Match Reaction
BARCELONASAINT replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
I will leave the hysterical reactions for others.........i will just say that was very hard to watch but i feel our season really kicks off next week. It is not time to panic yet, lets see how we are doing after 10/12 games. -
Because like i said earlier in the week he is injured. He had his right arm in a cast from elbow to his fingers when he came through Southampton airport with his father!
-
and to think people doubted i was telling the truth about his injury earlier in the week!
-
The kids went back to school this week! I have better things to do than waste my time making stuff up for attention. I thought i would post something some Saints fans would like to know as i have a great advantage of knowing who comes and goes through the airport. Maybe i'll just keep things to myself in future.
-
God knows how he has broken his arm? Its the right arm and it appeared to be in a full cast. He has just come back from a trip to NICE with his father......obviously a dangerous place to go!
-
Really sorry to bring bad news but we will not see Tadanari in a Saints shirt for a while! He has just landed at Southampton airport with his arm in a plaster cast!

I watched the game last night and have to say it was weird watching a live game from Colombia being played in glorious sunshine while it was pitch black here! Anyway, the game was over 3 minutes into the second half as a rampant Colombia destroyed a very ordinary Uruguay side. GASTON came on for the last 30 minutes ans his side were already 3-0 down and playing like a beaten side. GASTON whenever he got the ball looked very composed, he has a great touch and holds the ball well. He didn't have much of a chance to shine purely because the game was over really by the time he came on. However the brief glimpse i got to see of him was encouraging.....and thank god he wasn't injured!

I dont know how many got the opportunity to watch YOSHIDA in action yesterday but i was one of the lucky/unlucky ones who watched it on Fox Sports. It was a dire game and certainly nothing was learned about the quality of YOSHIDA's defending against a woeful UAE side. Our entire back 4 could have played in that game and never broken sweat. I trust YOSHIDA has been carefully watched over a period of time by our scouting network and NA knows exactly what he is getting. I'm also trusting the OP is basing his opinion on having watched the player numerous times and not just yesterdays game! TBH i do not think he will walk straight into the side. Just my honest opinion on what i saw yesterday. I really hope he is the real deal.

Japan have won 1-0 and Yoshida played the full 90 minutes. He played on the right side of the 2 centre backs. Very difficult game to judge him as UAE were no real threat at all. He looked better in the second half but UAE looked worse! On the plus side he got 90 minutes which is good for fitness and he hasn't picked up an injury.
-
Just watched the first half of the Japan game and can not say i'm impressed. I desperately want this lad to be good (god knows we need more defensive options) and i will give him the benefit of the doubt. However based on the 45 mins i just watched he needs to step his game up if he is going to be better than what we have. On the plus side its a poor game generally and it might be a case of not reading too much into this performance so far. Here is looking forward to a better second half.

Saints becoming 'MALI's ATM Machine'
BARCELONASAINT replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I think the bloggers time would be better spent worrying about his own tinpot club and how they are going to survive not being turned into the next Tesco's! -
Michael Owen, brilliant striker in his day but definitely falls into the has been category. I don't believe for one moment we are or ever have shown any interest in buying him!
