Having read this thread, I think the problems with the fan base are pretty easy to sort out really. SFC fans must: Be single - no wives or girlfriends. Be older than 17 - no kids or chavvy youths. Be younger than 30 - no overage geriatrics or pensioners. Be male - no females. Football is no place for ladies. Be able to sing non stop for 90 minutes - no passive 'clapper' personalities allowed. Be able to drink 3 pints in 15 minutes - coz it's what proper football geezers do. Be members of the SWF - gotta be able to collectively slag the players, club, board after the game. Totally agree with everything you say there Nick, in fact its the same feeling I get when I go to games. But the fact remains, very few clubs of our stature, if any, would've been able to hold onto the players that we sold, given the clubs involved or the money offered. (Not only to the club, but also the player concerned). We were the victims of our own success quite simply and the bubble was always going to burst at some point. Currently we are suffering a crisis of confidence, if we can get over that we'll be fine, but if the fans are going to dump the players and manager after only 3 games, well it's going to be a tough session. I actually wonder if some have ever been to a game, but perhaps that's me just being taken in by good trolling. 3 games in and we've made a crap start, no mistake, but is that really the time to start the "sack everybody" threads. In fact, given the dross that has been served up over the past season, our fans deserve a lot of credit. I had the same problem for West Brom away last season, phoned the ticket office and they said I could pick the tickets up at the Hawthorns, had the same thing on my email as well. When I got to the Hawthorns, went to the ticket office picked up tickets for me and my son in an envelope with my name on, no problem. No, I just wouldn't put him in the 'absolutely pathetic' bracket. He's not the best, I've noted his weaknesses, I don't deny that he has mistakes in him. But unlike some on here I'm not really one to vilify players for being crap.
