yeah, very good mate. I was probably a little slow on the uptake, but having had certain things pointed out to me and having just re-read a thread elsewhere, the penny has dropped. I can understand that some people may have an agenda and certain points to prove, but to effectively mock any disabled person (even if it is just to get a reaction from certain people) is not the way to make your point. This thread should be consigned to the Muppet Show, or better still, deleted entirely. Some people have gone down considerably in my estimation.

Real shame, spent many hours watching MMC, still showing on TV now. RIP.
-
From what I can gather they serve a life saving purpose now. It appears it is a very safe way of holding a fireworks display, apparently:

How do you know..?
-
Ummm, thinking about it, I can't disagree with that to be honest. Kinda killed the optimism for me now.... doooh..!

Deppo got removed from the Forum for less, norwaysaint should be removed from society.
-
Shame he never got into an 18 wheeler and crashed it strait through their church - would have done society a great favour.
-
You're wasting your time there mate - trying to talk finance and common sence to a pompey fan. There's a brick wall over there, go talk to that, it'll sink in quicker....!
-
Any you found it funny because...... You have serious issues Dune....

Suspicion of murder, it would appear: http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Salford-Burglar-John-Bennell-Stabbed-To-Death-Peter-Flanagan-Held-On-Suspicion-Of-Murder/Article/201106416017860?lpos=UK_News_First_UK_News_Article_Teaser_Region_0&lid=ARTICLE_16017860_Salford_Burglar_John_Bennell_Stabbed_To_Death%3A_Peter_Flanagan_Held_On_Suspicion_Of_Murder

So tell me, what was actually funny about it. As I said before I didn't get the joke, nor it seems did many others. When is 'back in the day'? I'm pretty long in the tooth and go back some time but I don't remember being encouraged to, or actively making fun of people with disabilities. Even, if as you say it is (was) not wrong 'back in the day', I think that if you pull your head out of the clouds, you'll find that society has changed somewhat and many things that were socially acceptable 'back in the day' are not considered so now. Anyway, you carry on laughing - don't forget to explain the joke to us less able people, I'm off back to my tree.
-
Perhaps you'd care to explain then Dune, I watched Paul Maynards speach and was nothing but inspired by it. Have we all missed the joke, or do you have some other issues?

Interesting debate chaps, but I'm 'fence sitting' on this one for now. What I would say though is that I rarely make games as I have lived out of the country since the late 70's. However, whenever I have travelled back I always tried to get tickets for games and can only remember once when I failed to get one - and always through official channels. I was also one of the JCL's who easily managed to get a ticket for the JPT as well, having not been to a single game all season. Therefore I think that Turkish has a point at this juncture in time - perhaps the demand is not as high as some percieve. I would like to see us expand and grow, but I think that stadium expansion should be explored but put on the back burner until we have achieved the 5 year plan aim first. If we are successful with that goal, then perhaps we will be in a position to consider our fanbase numbers. Don't forget - at the end of the day - once planning permission is granted, it's possible to expand or even build a new stadium in a relatively short space of time, so all of this could be achieved fairly quickly. But it's a decission that has to be right at the time - I would hate to see us playing in the Premiership with row upon row of empty seats every week, ala Wigan and a few others.

On the face of it, with the limited facts available, you have to come down on the side of the house owner. 4 unknown masked men in your house at midnight pose significant risk, arming yourself with a knife is warranted as far as I am concerned.

600...! Make it worthwhile - go for 6k, if you get caught plead ignorance. The worst they can do is make you pay the duty, confiscate them or, if we on the forum have any luck, throw you in the slammer for a few weeks....!!!

No, his downfall was that 9 out of 10 games he was shyte.
-
Why, a thread started by a poster by the name of (wait for it) 'thetomatokid'...! and you give it enough creedance to get wound up by it - I really would not waste the energy. Some people are just so ****in mongish - I heard it from the fukin electricity man - right yeah. Geeze, read some of the other threads on there, it is a childs playground - the average age of contributors is probably between 11 - 14 years of age. Why the **** get wound up over an 11 year old kid ffs.
-
I did catch the show a few times and thought that it was absolute garbage, but each to their own, it's not a crime to make shyte tv these days. If it transpires that he died drink driving or driving at excessive speed then it is very difficult to do anything but agree with DPS. On a similar note, very happy to see this: http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Owen-Wightman-Man-Arrested-Following-Death-Of-Six-Year-Old-In-Hit-And-Run-Collision/Article/201106316015864?lpos=Home_First_UK_News_Article_Teaser_Region_0&lid=ARTICLE_16015864_Owen_Wightman%3A_Man_Arrested_Following_Death_Of_Six-Year-Old_In_Hit-And-Run_Collision Hopfully it is the man responsible, he will be charged and we will hang him. Then again - some judge will probably slap his wrist and put 9 points on his licence.

Looks like those people have acted: http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Showbiz-News/Video-Amy-Winehouse-Cancels-European-Summer-Tour-After-Being-Booed-In-Serbia/Article/201106316014871?lpos=Showbiz_News_Second_Home_Page_Article_Teaser_Region_3&lid=ARTICLE_16014871_Video%3A_Amy_Winehouse_Cancels_European_Summer_Tour_After_Being_Booed_In_Serbia - better late than never. Hope she gets over it ok.

Sad, sad state of affairs, the world watches as the woman dies (in more ways than one) in front of our eyes. Those closest, her parents, friends, family and management owe it to her to get her the f uck out of the firing line now. She needs serious help - I wonder how many Amy fans show up and how many 'Freak' fans show.

I do think that Mikes avatar should be 'headless' by now, as it is it makes me crease up, but after this flag dilemma I can see nother but a headless chicken....!!! But seriously, great effort Mike - well done. -
Can't stand the bloke. Taxi for Boycotte.... eh, oohhh.... !!!!
-
I'm sorry, but when I see this flag, I think this: I don't know why I just do. While the brilliant Sir HS would probably have a wry smile, for me it just doesn't work as well as Gekos image.
-
Errr, well said that man.
-
Really didn't like this image on all of the flags that have gone before, but now you have worked some magic on it I have to confess it looks good. I would have blown the money by now on Scudamores design - but I like this one as well. Errrrrrr..... do we have enough money for 2 flags Mike.....?????
