I'm not one to get carried away at all and after seeing The Kraken's thread about how proud he is of our team and pretty much summing up everything I wanted to say, I thought I'd ask something different - though completely hypothetical. I'd just be very interested to see what the fans would think is the right way to go in a particular scenario. Anyway, imagine. We negotiate the next two months with the same level of performances and results and we still sit in the Champions League places on January the 1st. There are no injuries and no visible signs of fatigue though the squad could be, with suspensions/unforeseen injuries become a little thin if the unfortunate does happen. That said, the current squad is happy, settled and fit. Though with a Champions League place possibly at stake, do you... (1) Stick - maybe bring one more quality player in and keep the current squad as it is (2) Twist - Bring in 2+ quality players in to try and give the squad more depth and competition Also... (a) What would you like to see us do if we're in that position come the January window (b) What do you think Cortese will do? FWIW, I'm not sure what route I'd like to go down...

Decent manager, decent bloke. Hull fans were impressed too... http://www.ambernectar.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7834 http://www.hullcityindependent.net/?page=forum&forum_id=4&thread_id=16888

What makes me laugh is a few of us have been saying Lallana has all the attributes to play for England for 2,3 years and its only now he's finally getting noticed. Scoring that goal yesterday just after being called up makes Woy look like he's some sort of visionary, which he's definitely not. Glad he's finally taking an interest though. Irrespective, I'm sure Milner, Cleverley or Henderson could score a goal like that. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 4-1 Hull City
Crab Lungs replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Very interested to see that they introduced Debayo to the crowd today, it's almost as if we're ordaining them into the club and fans, trying to build a real "feeling" between players, fans and what's bring built. In other news.... -
We'd have to get 70 points or so for Champions League. Woah. 60 odd for Europa. Woah.
-
van der Sar to Fulham.
-
Zola, Vialli, Gullit, Ravenelli and Balotelli (to an extent)... Loads of failures though; Crespo, Shevchenko, Brolin, Materazzi, Maccarrone etc etc
-
Stevo, trust me... Terre d'Hermes.
-
They'd be better without AVB holding them back though. He was very fortunate last year, Bale digged him out of a hole time and again.
-
Should have sold him to Wolves for £500,000 when we had the chance.
-
Yer, because Milner, Cleverley et al have been fantastic this year.
-
'spose I could throw in Phil Jones too while I'm at it.
-
Yup. He's more dynamic than Milner though, but isn't going to win you any games.
-
Delph is decent, don't begrudge Woy a look there. But it'll likely just be a look ... and it'll be the same crap come June next year, guaranteed - perhaps for 1-2 exceptions.
-
Been saying since League One that Lallana's a lot, lot better than some of the drudgery with caps.
-
Pointless footballers like Cleverley, Milner, Johnson and Carroll will be on the plane, sadly. Hodgson is a complete nobber.
-
It's happening.

'The best coached team in the league by miles..'

That's the galling part. Ramirez would be superb and would link with Osvaldo well, but he's just not fancied for some reason. :-( -

To be fair, ottery wasn't rubbishing him entirely, just commenting on one performance.Unsurprised by some of the names though... Waaaaaaahmbulance for Ewell Saint
-
F()cking hell, what sort of pr1ck do you have to be to turn on a player after less than 10 games. Totally embarrassing. Same people who probably rubbished Morgan, Lallana, Crouch, Marsden etc in their early days...
-
Yep. Like we should have sold Lallana for £500,000 too. People on here, lol.

I feels you bro. You just know around 5-6 of those England places for the WC (should we qualify) will be wasted on dross. For example, Tom Cleverley (pointless). James Milner (pointless). Glen Johnson (bulky and just... rubbish). Possibly even Jack Rodwell, Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling, Stewart Downing, Ryan Bertrand, Keiron Gibbs, Phil Jones might get a look in... all, once again, pretty much pointless. Some probably won't see it at that and yes, some of those players are half-decent in position... but in tournaments, surely flexible players are the key? For example, Clyne can play LB and RB, he won't play. Lallana offers more defensively and offensively than all of the midfielders I mentioned above (and even our own captain, Gerrard, who is quite frankly, massively sh1te these days) but he won't get a look in. I'd go as far to say that Jack Cork was better than all of the above midfielders last year, too and if playing, he would have been this year as well. Meh, f()ck England.

Supporters were fantastic when we were up against it on the pitch. Absolutely top stuff. Have to say, Fox was woeful but that wasn't just because he's not good enough cover every now and then - he is - it's because his confidence is shot to pieces completely. Poor lad.
