Whatever Brighton say, it doesn't matter. Our objective was automatic and we've achieved it. Yes, it'll have been nice to have been us but I am in the main delighted we've pretty much assured automatic promotion. That's what we needed ultimately, and that's what we've achieved.

I don't understand the negative reaction. FWIW, as I've mentioned previously about Beatts, is that I think in able for him to "function", he seems to need to be at the right club. And, for better or worse, we are one of those clubs. Familiar surroundings, faces and a fanbase he knows well would do him good. I'm not the sentimental type by any means but I think he could really have 1-2 good seasons left in him and do a great job for us in the NPC. He just needs an opportunity...
