But they could have avoided it if they wanted to, they are a disgrace, thick and an embarrassment, utter scum.

Funny how no one has mentioned the 10 Russians attacking one loan England fan, or how the French bar owner interviewed on the telly where the trouble was the first night said England fans we're blameless and came under attack from local Marseille fans. No let's all jump on the bandwagon and blame the England fans because they're all thick and embarass our country, its absolutely nothing to do with anyone else.

I believe we wanted him too but went to Spartak Moscow. Out of work and would be a good fit. Other names not been monitoned but would be a good fit for us are Eduardo Berizzo although his comments on homosexuals will upset some on here Shame we missed out on lucien Favre just taken the Nice job would have been good.

Murat Yakin is that man.

And therefore guaranteed to improve?

Lost my dad to this and he was a season ticket holder until he wasn't able to go any more.

Someone that prowls up and down the touchline all game screaming and showing that all important quality of PASSION Someone that will encourage the board to spend Millions and millions even if we dont have it so we can show everyone we have AMBITION Someone that will never ever leave, that none of the big clubs will be linked with and will be GRATEFUL to be manager of a club like Southampton and thank us weekly.

Be delighted with De Boer or Villas Boas.

Totally agree. He's a big boy, no one is holding a gun to his head. I'm sure if he wanted to stay he's brave enough to tell someone he's worked with for only 4 weeks where to stick it. Let's be blunt, joining the dots it doesn't look good for him. Promising all along he's see his contract out, knocking Everton back, getting an offer from saints and though and behold Everton come back with a much better offer only a few days later. Plus the changing of agent only a few weeks ago. Why did he do that if he was happy to see his contract out? Unfortunately it looks like SFC have been played yet again. I don't blame the board Koemans been a slippery, lying helmet and let everyone down. He seemed to be a man of honour but is even worse than Pochetino, at least he didn't pretend he wasn't a decietful *****.

We could do a lot worse than Moyes. However he's definitely the odd one out in that list. The other three are all considered bright, young forward thinking managers and Moyes, well, isn't. Wonder if we'll talk to De Boer and Yakin, two others who would appear to fit the profile of what Reid spouts about.

Why it is whenever I see a thread from 9-3 I always imagine a man who has drink copious amounts of special brew.
-
Why do you hate to say it? He's clearly a very good player the problem is he's never fit for long and is a bit of prat. He's been very good tonight as have Stones and Bertrand. Apart from the goal I think Rashford has been poor. England bang average again. Dier alongside Wilshire with Lalllana and Dia behind Kane and Vardy is a decent front 6 I think.

Scott Marshall was another one, although I would say ecstatic is pushing it when we got him from arsenal for £500k and think we beat a few club for his signature, he'd played a few times for arsenal the previous season when I think they we're champions. he was considered to be quite a signing. IIRC he played twice we lost 3-0 and 4-0, he scored an own goal in both games and was one of the worst players I've ever seen. Remember Jon Gittens? SOld him for £60k, resigned him a few years later for £600k and you could see why all we got was a tenth of what we payed for him straight away.

breaking News! Ronald puts own to paper on new deal!!!

The best thing about these sort of threads is how many Tobys get themselves at it about them, then accuse others of being tits ? -

Yet we've progressed for two season with a negative net spend. So despite a massive positive net spend being the latest holy grail in mongboardery, the proof is in the pudding, it isn't as important as many of the f*ckwits on here would like it to be.

You mean he has periods of good form, yes? A creative footballer having periods of good form where they are confident and free of injury and other periods of a season where they aren't in great form. who'd have thought it.

Remember guys it's not guaranteed yet. If we vote to leave Euorpe then our Europa league places drop to drop one as UEFA only give none EU members one place, which will go to Man United as 5th placed side.

What round do the Charity Shield winners enter at?

Anyone else find it amusing that after west ham fans bricked the man United coach they're now relying on those players to do them a favour to make Europe next season?
-
We were told for much of the season that we should wish we were them. We were told that you can't keep selling your best players and improving, in fact that was the opening gambit on many posts in the early weeks of the season as our rebuilt team found its feet. Everton in particular were a shining light as to what we should aspire to be. Is this still the case or do we now accept that as a club we are in great hands, we have a strategy that works and actually other clubs should wish they were us?

If there is one thing we have learnt on this incredible journey it's that managers come and go but the relentless pursuit of exercise shows no sign of abating. Th club has a clear strategy and this has given previous and current manager an excellent platform to work on. The year on year progression has continued regardless of players, management, scouts, coaches even chairman. The consistent figure and catalyst of our success is one man, step forward Les Reed, fast becoming the new Ted Bates.
