Bullish*t the new board don't have any ambition and are naive! Ralph talks a lot of nonsense and I'm not impressed by them.

Can we put to bed the nonsense that we were doomed when NC left.....
Turkish replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
They're not trying to flog our best players Brett, we're getting bids on our best players, who are the most desirable in the lesgue from two or the worlds biggest clubs. Hardly the same is it. -

What we need is a bit more champions league aims bullsh*t in the media, a few 'the chairman is working incredibly hard behind the scenes' quotes from poch and Ralph to get the Star and express on side and run a few gushing articles on how amazing he is with his vision and drive and everything will be fine again. -
He ran us like a seaside b&b FFS

I'm sure the cortese lovers will be filling each other up with jizz over that article. The player who Cortese tore the bid up for was chamberlain, it was talked about at the time funny how arsenal were so frightened of dealing with him that they still managed to sign him, why hasn't that been mentioned? His fearsome imagine didn't put them off. And the fact there were no bids to rip up last summer wasnt because everyone was cowering from this tyrant who was impossible to deal with it was for one simple reason, our players are much more desirable now than then. This time last year did anyone seriously think Lallana would be an England regular and one of the most rated players in the premier league, Shaw off to the World Cup and Rodriguez have had a call up? Still keep believing it was because everyone was scared of dealing with cortese

As the master of posts that aren't very good Franco I'll bow you your superior knowledge and expertise on that subject. Nevertheless, As you can clearly see from my final sentence 'what do people think?' It was clearly intended to provoke discussion and some people even commented that it had done just that. If you bothered to read the thread, at the time it didn't get abuse or riducle, not a single post like that, people made reasonable points for and against and there were some good discussions, it's only now 18 months on people have decided it's 'mongboard gold'. Shame really how what was a valid and interesting discussion point a season and a half ago is now being dressed up as demands for Lallana to be dropped, that I thought he was crap, WUM etc to suit people's personal vendetta. What some might call agendas and trolling, yes?

Just as a bit of inside info I can reveal that the relationship with Adidas and saints fell apart due to Corteses demands that Adidas make him an exclude 'NC1' range of preditors which included 8 inch insoles.

right on cue Something else you've made up pal, today's chapter in fake posts from the past.
-
What's the point? How many games have we've lost at SMS since we've been there due to a frozen pitch?
-
What part of it was nothing do with Lallanas form or ability are you struggling with pal?thick as pig sh*t.
-
Nah bear not at all. Having just read the thread back some people said it was a good discussion point and agreed with me that we did look better as a unit, some didn't and many made some very good points for and against. I suppose its just much easier for certain dickheads on here to pretend its someone saying Lallana is crap and demanding he be dropped.
-
What is mongboard gold is how thick some people are. It was nothing to do with Lallanas form or ability, it was asking the question if the team at that time were better unit without him in it, its easy with hindsight 17 months on with a player massively Improved playing In a different system under a different manager to say it ways 'mongboard gold' and a load of nonsense but at the time it wasn't. Some people get it, quite a few don't which is no surprise considering the amount of divs that come on here.

Okay. So the conversation was different to your transcript, which seemed to be you talking a lot and Shaw smiling and nodding and not saying much at all. Fair enough.
-
I guess on of the plus points of being a small fish in a big pond would be not being stopped and talked bol*ocks at by random lunatics in service stations.
-
He'd have fought like a bastard to keep Adidas, like a bastard I tell you.
-
He plays for saints which means he is the best player in the world in his position, up until he get linked with a move to a bigger club, then there is no point him joining them as he'll just be a squad player. Anyway, well deserved, good player and not before time.
-
So not only is he good at being young players through he can also spot their potential at other clubs and bring them in at a young age. Sounds good to me.

Quite. I think Everton finished top half in 9 out of 11 seasons he was there with a net spend of around £1m a season. An incredible achievement really. The fashionable view seems to be saying that Martinez has shown him up but the fact remains Everton have finished 5th-8th every season since for the last 8 years.

Rodwell Osman

Because what we most definitely wouldn't want to happen would be people redwing into what he was saying, speculating as to what he might have meant and what he did or didn't say and also as to what his body language might infer. Thank god he only speaks in Spanish and none of that goes on.
-
You're right. IIRC he started to get symptoms at Man united, when he went I birminghham was when it started to really effect him and forced him to retire. 8 always lived him and followed his career as he used to live round the corner from where I grew up so saw him quite a bit. He came to our school a couple of times as well, one of them not long after the 1984 semi final where I asked him how he felt after the game and he said he was very, very upset. He also signed an autograph on a chip wrapper in mikes chippy at the castle when he was in there after a game once.

Is that the same club that disgusting stole one of the countries most promising right backs and paid around £2m for him, a fraction of his true value, from the club that developed him? They make me sick.

Remember the days when some people thought guardiola would be interested. Remember where we were a year ago *sighs*

This is nothing new though is it. Everton have lost Rodwell, artera, Fellani, Rooney and lescott to bigger in recent seasons. When villa had 4 years of finishing 6th Barry, Milner, downing and young were on the first Bentley to Manchester and Liverpool when they came calling. That's soccerball.
