So in summary the reasons he shouldn't go are if he stays he'll be popular in Southampton and England international, £25m rated, team of the year player isn't good enough to get into a team many say without Suarez are average and have no chance of winning anything.

What is the most amount of Saints players in an England WC squad in the past?

Can only think of a number of ex saints players. Peter crouch, shearer, mark wright, no current ones.and of course the southampton born Darren Anderton scored v Columbia in 1998. -

Shilton and wright were both at saints but wright didn't go as he'd broken his leg that season in the semi final v Liverpool. Certainly in my lifetime of watching football from the mid 80s I can't remember us having even 3 players in the tournament, let alone the England squad. Maybe some of our older fans can. Edit. Just remember we had 3 players in 2002. Bridge, anders Svenson and Delgado, if he counts. -
Oh, far, far from it pal, you couldn't be more wrong, I'm simply illustrating how easy it is to resort to foul mouthed name calling and petty insults, such as 'get out of your bedsit' but doing this is something you seem to constitute giving someone 'a hell of a beating'

Completely over your head then, there's a surprise.

We what we can deduce from this bumped thread is unlike was claimed that I was demanding he be dropped or saying I didn't rate him, I actually said I thought he was a great player. And probably key to it all is that it was a question to the forum to discuss, A question at the moment In time, December 2013, not may 2014 not with the benefit of a new manager and a vastly improved player and team a question and not demanding he be dropped. So those who find it "'mongboard gold" are talking sh+t as usual. Just like yesterday, shurlocks desperation to try and mug me off has spectacularly backfired yet again. "Playing the post not the poster" let's see what he drags up tomorrow.
-
I'll stick with what I said. We were being exposed down the left flank week in week out, Lallana was not at the level he's at now, no where near in fact and results had improved whilst he was out. I also think i was pretty clear in my OP that I rated him and considered him one of our best players but asked the question as we a better side without him. Didn't call for him to be dropped or didn't say I didn't rate him Still it'd be too much for the mugs on here to play the post not the poster
-
He's obsessed pal. Like I said in the OP on the thread, I'm a big fan of his And believe you should play your best players. However one of the biggest criticisms of his and of the team the first half of last season was how exposed our left back was. Partly because fox wasn't up to it and Shaw was still emerging, both needed a bit more protection escpecialy away from home. Shaw has Obviously come on leaps and bounds too which has helped that as well as the system we play now being different to the one under Adkins. I'm sure he'll now say none of this happened, our fullbacks were never exposed and Our system hasn't changed. Just shows a measure of his obsession that he'll rewrite history and use threads totally out of context In his crusade against me. And I though a while back when he used posts from other forums which were said as a joke and completely unrelated to the thread was a bit wierd
-
What were you saying yesterday about wading in not reading threads properly?! I clearly said in the OP on that thread I'm a big fan of his and believe you should play the beat players, but we looked a more solid unit without. Then asked the question are we a better side without him? Hardly calling for him to be dropped you utter lemon Not reading posts properly and rewriting history. Mongboardary at it's finest Taking things seriously like following people round, even using posts that they've made on other forums to prove a made up point that doesn't exist. Yes pal, it's me taking it seriously
-
At the time it was a valid point. lallana wasn't playing well and results had improved with him not in the side. He's improved beyond all recognition since then. I'm sure a lot of people will have erased that period from their memories though. Hindsight is great isn't it. Nice to see you're obsession with me shows no sign of letting up.

Looks like you'll be getting the new owner you asked for then.

Sorry, so are you now saying we weren't run like a seaside B&B, that our transfer activity was actually fine and not the shambles you made out it was, that other chairmen didn't see NC coming and that pretty much everything you posted from Aug 2009-Jan 2014 was a load of bo*llocks?
-
Took about 30 seconds. And there were plenty more, as well as the numerous rants on threads you over the years. Bit odd you'll miss the guy who ran us like a crappv seaside b&b, a guy who other chairman see coming and how your now bemoaning us not being able to finish higher than 8th in a division we don't belong in. Or is that just 'frustration' too?
-
Are you sure? I hope you're right about NC, as given your comments anyone would be an improvement right? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?41043-We-dont-belong-in-the-PL http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?23072-Different-Ownership-and-Managment-same-old-summer#.U3BrF3-9KSM http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?23861-Brutally-honest-forget-its-me-posting-this-who-is-disappointed-in-our-transfers#.U3BrX3-9KSM http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?45266-SFC-still-run-like-a-crappy-seaside-B-amp-B#.U3BrfX-9KSM http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?46964-For-future-transfer-activity-lets-avoid-Serie-A#.U3BsOH-9KSM

England World Cup Squad - Lambert, Lallana and Shaw included
Turkish replied to Batman's topic in The Saints
Cole has been a great player for England and one our few few genuine world class players in the last 30 years. He does seem a bit of a c*ck as a bloke but as a player you can't fault him. Time catches up with everyone though, shame people are slagging him off and can't separate their dislike for someone they've never met with respect for their ability and effort. -
Great for the other 3 but spare a thought for Rodriguez whilst the others are celebrating. Going to be tough for him to watch thinking what might have been.
-
Spot on. And the funny thing is on your last point many of the ones who fell for all the champions league BS would consider themselves the forum bright sparks. I seem to remember Wes Ender describing himself and his group of Man on the mooners as 'the intelligent posters'
-
If he was vindictive enough to ban a long term fan from having a season ticket for writing something he didn't like on a forum, engage in long running petty spats with ex players from years ago as well as numerous cases which went to court before he settled outside the day before for no reason, how much more bitter do you think he'd be toward the people who cost him a £2m a year job?
-
I think you're forgetting they kissed and made up and the sun was very pro saints afterwards.
-
I'm surprised he hasn't yet taken the job AC Milan have been begging him to take for what must be 4 years now.
-
He's a dinosaur and doesn't know what he's on about.
-
It was his PR company cortese used whilst he was here.
-
How ironic he would become the 'dark forces' he once warned about.
-
And it's not me saying he's been feeding the press, I'm drawing attention to what 3 journalists have said. It's not hard to work out though is it, lots of stories ever since he left of meltdowns, players wanting out, manager want to go etc, mainly in the same papers that used to blow smoke up his arse and lavish praise on us. Why the about turn?
-
Oh my day has started just fine pal, keep playing the post not the poster, it's going so well for you
