  1. I want them to bring in a hundred or so premium tickets for big games so we can have a good protest like the scousers but freeze or reduce them elsewhere and never talk about it.
  2. Correct I had a look to see what all the fuss was about this morning and it turns out, as usual people are being OUTRAGED over nothing, many of the people protesting will be in fact be better off It's not hard to google pal, a quick ten minutes on the train this morning and found out all the facts. Maybe people should do their research instead of being quick to be OUTRAGED like you are and your spitting bile reply at me for daring to point it out. And I stand by my original point that protesting inside the ground is pointless and the only way prices will come down is by more and more empty seats. Although where the scousers are concerned there may well be empty seats even though most of them will be paying less anyway
  3. It's 200 seats for 6 games a season. The ones protesting won't be sitting in those seats anyway. What's the problem with people paying more for a premium seat? I notice no ones mentioned the £9 kids ticket with 20,000 tickets given as priority to locals or the plans to give away tickets to schools as a reward for good behaviour. Or how 64% of season tickets have been frozen or reduced or how 45% of match day tickets will be reduced. Oh no, let's all be OUTRAGED that Less than 1% of the capacity will have to pay a bit more 6 times a season and none of those people protesting will be sitting in those areas anyway. It's not like the scousers to ignore facts and have a whinge is it
  4. A protest inside a football stadium about ticket prices when you've already paid the price to watch the ticket is laughable. The only way prices will come down is if people stop going. Protest outside the ground, don't go but protesting about something you are clearly already paying for is a joke. Would people book a train to London get on the train and get off at Woking to protest against train prices? Would people book a hotel room and leave it at 4 in the morning to protest against the price of hotel rooms? If you're not happy with the price then don't pay it and don't go, it ain't hard. When enough people start doing it then and only then will they take notice.
  5. Fantastic display from the defensive players in the side. Although it was nervy in truth we defended brilliantly and they never really looked like scoring. Claise is looking the player we hoped he'd be, pressing and hassling and don't remember him giving the ball away. Romeu also looked quality when he came on and is looking a really good player now. Wanyama was unlucky to be sent off, it was silly diving in like he did but a harsh red but clattenburg loves sending him off so no surprise when he took the opportunity to do that. Defensively we're looking the real deal. The only downside tonight was that Pelle struggled and was poor, maybe he is lacking sharpness due to being out for a while but with the way we sent up to play today he really didn't do the job he was picked for and looked like a player bang out of form. He's a good player so will get back to form but I'd be tempted to start with Austin and Long next week.
  6. What on earth are on about now? Ciry have won the league two of the last four seasons, the other teams were Chelsea who also can buy pretty much anyone they want as well and Man United, the biggest club in England who were managed by probably the best manager of all time in his final season, who guess what? Also have bucket loads of cash either. They've not been outside of the top 3 since 2011. Yet according to you they are "a disgrace" because they haven't steamrollered their way to the title every season ahead of other massive teams who have also spent sh*t loads of cash. I'm sure fans of most clubs would be delighted to win the league 50% of the time and never finish below third yet in Adrian's world that level of performance is "a disgrace"
  7. We're currently above them and finished about them last season. Thank god we aren't matching them then.
  8. League one level performance yet again.
  9. Adding 13,000 seats would cost around £40m which has already been stashed away from transfer profits the last two seasons. What we should do is add those seats to SMS and make all tickets £15. That way we'd definitely sell out every week and attract fans all across the south of England who want to see premier league football. Plus we'd sell more hot dogs and kit Kats so commercial income would go up as well. I'm can't really see a downside. it begs the question would 45,000 be enough? There is huge catchment area to tap into.
  10. Do you think perhaps it would be a good idea to expand to 45,000 and make ticket prices significantly cheaper so as to attract casual fans from the line which runs from London, through Birmingham up to Liverpool which we along with Bournemouth and Swansea are the only premier league clubs below? Or how about some inventive pricing models, easyjet seem to be the masters of that maybe we could take some guidence from them.
  11. Quite. Was this forum needs is more quality posters like yourself who make jokes about ****ging peoples dead mum and have illiterate, drunken, foul mouthed rants at 1am in the morning.
  12. What a load of sh*t this place has become. Dull as fook threads, no humour, no edge. Just helmets talking bo llocks with each other nodding along in agreement at the amazing threads like who do yet want to win out of Bompey (insert face palm) and Pompey. Still the mods and the divs got the forum they wanted, dishing out infractions to anyone that dared to have have an opinion different to the mainstream one. Since the old Saintsforever shut down this place has always been full of wallies but at least it was a bit of laugh then. Now its dull thread after dull thread complete bo llocks after nonsense spouted, helmet after imbicile. A forum dominated by people like Adriansfc and Vectis. No wonder the good posters don't bother anymore and you can see why!
  13. This is a lot of nonsense really. In reality there are about 6-8 teams who are "proper top flight" ie who have pretty much always always been there rarely if ever relegated. Then a load of other teams, probably 25 or so who could all make a case to be "proper top flight" it depends how you measure it. Saints for example have spent more time in top flight since the early 90s than Leeds and Blackburn but they've both won it since then and finished higher than we ever have on several occasions. So do you judge it on time served or success? Swansea have spent more time in top flight than forest in the last 10 years but forest are clearly a bigger club so who is the "proper top flight" out of them? Some have mentioned Sheffield United but they've only spent 6 seasons in top flight in the last 40 years, how are they more deserving than Coventry City who have spent 24 years in top flight in the same period? So like a said, outside of the top 6-8 or so there are probably 25 or so clubs who could claim they're a premier league club.
  14. Oh dear you boys are for it now, Vectis still hasn't forgiven me for saying I didn't rate Tandari Lee, he said I was racist and didn't like him because he was Japanese. Stand by for a volley of abuse and constant snide comments for years now you've slammed another one of our Japanese players.
  15. You've raised an interesting point here. As our song came from the church, indeed our origins are from religious backgrounds then we have a number of issues. Is OWTSGMI offensive to non Christians? It certainly could be and perhaps explains the lack of Muslims that follow the club. If you are an atheist is it hypocritical to support a team with such deep ties with religion who even takes their nickname and songs from the church?
  16. Devil in your shoes - Man United Baggie trousers - west brom Under the blade - Sheffield united Guess that's why they call it the blues - various clubs Chelsea dagger - Dagenham and Redbridge Diamonds and pearls - rushden and diamonds The eagle has landed - palace If I had hammer - West Ham The lion sleeps tonight - millwall I'm sure there are plenty more
  17. I think "we sing songs that are sh*tter variants of songs sung by other clubs or anything to the tune of sloop john b" x 3 would be more appropriate. As for I'm forever blowing bubbles in the OP as has been said saints used to sing a version of that.
  18. Well good on you pal as its clearly worked for you. Have you lost all that weight and able to run that just from starting in June? That's a great effort. I think I just got bored with hearing all these idiots boasting about how many steps they've done and the endless conversations about how many steps "blobby" had done and so on. How people who had never done a days exercise in their life suddenly thought they were experts on the subject. I suppose if it gets people off their arses its not a band thing.
  19. Isn't it great to have all this depth and options? So much so that the First choice striker for Italy is fourth choice at saints. With that in mind would you go as far as to say with that sort of depth the squad is better than last year Brett?
  20. You can't expect to sell your best players every summer and. Oh wait...
  21. How's that relegation prediction coming on pal?
  22. Wasn't crook one of Corteses boys?
  23.:lol: The south coast football expert. Tweeted less than 14 hours before the signing was announced.:lol:
  24. Oh come on Connor you can't tell us you learnt nothing from Mr Crook!! From the outside looking in you appear to be the sorcerers apprentice, his mentee, if you are luke he is yoda. Surely it can't just be coincidence that one of your finest attributes as a budding journalist is a knack of seeing news stories elsewhere then passing it off as your own, something Mr crook also excels in. As has already been mentioned on here talksports south coast football expert excelled himself at the weekend by tweeting saints not in for Charlie Austin less than 24 hours before he signed. I'm stunned you didn't break this exclusive on here!! What happened with your shoot Column by the way?!!
  25. Ahh so that's what Sibley does now. I'd been wondering about what his new role was post Cortese as presumably there was no one needed to run the new CEOs baths and collect their lunch and dry cleaning. The boy has done well for himself.
