Listen, if Rusk gets to the end of the season and keeps us up he will have proved beyond all doubt he has something about him and that will not suddenly vanish so he'll fully deserve a longer contract. The reality is this scenario is unlikely to happen but wouldn't it be fantastic if it did.

Any comment Lighthouse? Or can some actually throw the 'hate' word around and you don't comment whereas others like me just offer critic and get accused of hating. It's double standards and you know it. 🙂

I think the way Lallana organises and advises team mates when playing shows a keen understanding of the game plus he's played under some very good managers so he's not someone I'd say is not the managerial type or lacks knowledge. I'm not convinced he'd have wanted the caretaker role even if offered it because it's something of a poison chalice.

The only thing I saw flagged was that he rushed forward before the order to board was given.

It's fairly normal for the main assistants to go when a manager is sacked but haven't seen anything official to confirm or deny so far.

If so you might consider setting a better example - you could make a start by stopping accusing me of hating Russell Martin based on things swirling around in your own head and I get that you have said, if I didn't use the word hate that's fine . It might be fine for you but I don't like your original inferences. Your first paragraph is of no interest to me because I am not one of those who may or may not have bandied about the word 'hate'. If I use the word hate against someone feel free to pull me up on it - until then I'm happy for you to disagree with me but don't falsely accuse me of hating.

That comes across as hatred of ABK - I'm sure it's not and certainly wouldn't accuse you of meaning it that way since clearly I don't know you.

When you see me use the words 'I hate Russell Martin' you might gain a shred of credibility. You have clearly decided to misinterpret my words into hatred of RM and that's your problem. The thread you refer to, if you'd care to read it properly, will tell you my main argument is that I don't agree with stadium expansion at a time when the football club is in turmoil which only got worse yesterday. I do mention RM in a critical way because his coaching and handling of the team has contributed to where we find ourselves. Carry on thinking I hate RM but I can tell you quite categorically that I don't - yes I'm glad he's gone but hatred....that's a very strong word and you shouldn't be accusing people you don't know of it based on your own misinterpretations of comments on a football forum.

I thought Ramsdale looked as though he knew - he was extremely pensive and clearly mulling something over in his mind. Ok, he'd just witnessed a car crash of a performance from his team mates but there was something more on his mind from his body language.

How does Rusk set up the U21s? I'm hoping he is not conditioned to play Russball because that would be a total disaster. We need to distance ourselves well away from that style of play if we want to see improvements. Wednesday's team selection, formation and tactics will be interesting.

Agree. And the post from the Swansea fan in which he shows his original post from the time Martin joined us is uncanny - everything he said was exactly spot on and things unfolded as he said they would. Like many of us have he claimed back then that Martin was a charlatan. I recall thinking at the time his post did ring loud alarm bells but put it down to the grumblings of a fan slagging off a departing manager but, in hindsight, how right he was.
