the problem i see with ramierz is that he appears to be playing for himself and not the team. He always tries the glory pass, dribble or shot and 9 times out of 10 loses posession. Not convinced at the moment. i hope he comes good, quite obviously has ability but needs to start doing the basics right and hopefully the confidence to do the rest will follow.

yes it would be a gamble, but fans are able to make decisions in their minds and on message boards with impunity and with nothing other than banter resting on it. They are also always able to comment after the event with the benefit of hindsight saying we should have done this, or that. Things are not black and white: saying if adkins does this - we will win. If he does that - we will loose, is just plain wrong. At the end of the day, this is Adkins livelihood, he has a greater knowledge and experience to draw on than anyone on here and has been sucessful more often than not. Above all, he knows things about the happenings behind the scenes that we do not. Nice though it is to have an opinion and speculate, we just cannot know exactly what is going on. Sometimes, just sometimes **** happens - particularly in football. I for one have faith that Adkins is the best man for the job, will make informed decisions and will make the best fist of the situation we're in this year. If he thinks we should play the youngsters (and he lives or dies by his decisions), there is a reason for it.

What about IF they play, we spank Swansea and they are instrumental in that? Would you have lost faith then???

Chaplow seems to play to the level of the opposition. I think he needs the additional motivation of playing top clubs to be at his best - or playing against a darren ferguson team...

i had insurance on the Reading game, with a few spread bets. i had jason Roberts to score first and reading to win 2-1 @ 60/1. Was not a happy bunny when fonte ****ed up for the 3rd in injury time. it was bad enough we lost, but that just rubbed salt in the wounds.

i actually think he came on in leaps and bounds during his time with us. He's young and still has time to develop.

Watching him play for Sheff Weds today, i can't help but think that we could do with his direct running, pace and power at times to offer something a bit different from the tippy tappy, round in circles stuff we seem to be playing down the wings. i rate de ridder, but pace and power would be a good option.

what we need is chaplow, playing through the middle and back to his early season form.

what was very amusing was that Haye's trainer Adam Booth was asking who glassed him... ...he might want to review the footage where you can see david haye swing a camera tripod in his face. In fairness to Chisora, Haye threw the first punches, bottles Chisora and them proceeds to throw punches at his team before brandishing the tripod and catching his own trainer. Boxers are mainly thugs, but it kinda goes with the territory.
