Roy Keane. Absolute ****. Anybody see his outburst about Jordan Pickford and De Gea, yesterday? Sky presenter: "We can show you some statistics about Jordan, Roy". Keane: "I don't need to see your statistics, I know that he's not a good keeper". He then went on a rant about De Gea, saying "As a manager, or a player, you’d kill him. I swear, it’s crazy. You talk about people being too clever. It just takes too long, what is he waiting for? If you’re going to make a decision, at least make it quickly. These are huge moments for United in terms of trying to get top four. You’ve got your experienced goalkeeper, what is he waiting for? There’s almost a bit of arrogance to it, ‘look at me, give me time'. They almost think they’re outfield players. I would have lynched him at half time, I’d have no time for that carry on. I know keepers can make mistakes, but there’s no excuse for that."

Me too, but when do Saints ever make anything easy for themselves? If there's a complicated way to stay up you can guarantee that we'll choose it.
-
Not sure how you work that out? If we only win 2 in our next 6, which is entirely possible, we'll be on 40 pts with 4 games left. If Brighton win 4 in their next 6, they'd also on 40 points. There could easily be 3 or 4 teams on 40 pts going into the last 4 games. Therefore we could be in a position where we need to beat Brighton and Bournemouth to guarantee safety.

My worry is that we don't look like we've got much fight in us. I can easily see us getting dragged back into a relegation battle. We seem to be incapable of beating average teams. A couple of WHU fans who I spoke to after the game yesterday said that we were the worst team they've seen at their place this season. As I've said before. I'd hate for us to go into the last 3 games needing to beat Brighton and Bournemouth. :-/

You've just taken the words out of my mouth. You just knew we'd go there today and put in a ****e performance. This lot really **** me off. A colleague has just said to me, "It must be really disappointing being a Saints fan. You win a couple of games, look really well organised and solid and potentially pushing for a top half finish. Then you go and put in really crap, gutless performances against teams who are below you in the league and look more like a team who will just about stay up." Knowing Saints, we'll end up going into the last 3 games of the season needing wins in the Derbies against Brighton and Bournemouth, who will both be fighting for survival and will have a lot more fight than we seem to be able to muster. I remember saying last season, why can't we just get the job done early and make things easy for ourselves? We constantly seem to shoot ourselves in the foot and end up limping over the line.

Redmond out for between 1 and 2 months. I've got a feeling we'll lose Ings at some point in the next few weeks and then we'll be right up **** street.
-
I'll bet you a cheese sandwich that we don't win this game.
-
Woke up with a bad feeling about today's game, then I saw the team and knew we were getting nothing. Our home form is shocking. Give it 3 weeks and we'll be right back in the ****.
-
Exactly!
-
I've been saying for weeks that we'd end up in a relegation battle and that we'll probably end up going into the derbies against Brighton and Bournemouth needing wins, which is far from ideal as we seem to lack fight when it comes to playing teams in a similar position to ourselves.

Spurs 3-2 Saints - FA Cup Reaction
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to ALWAYS_SFC's topic in The Saints
All that's happened is we had an extra game that we could have done without and 2 players picked up injuries. Would have rather lost the first game 1-0 and not had this fixture. The players could have had a rest and we could focus on finishing as high up the league as possible. I'm still not convinced that we won't end up in a relegation scrap, having facing two of our south coast rivals in the last three games. -
Liverpool 4 - Saints 0 Post match Reaction

4-0 as predicted. I'm €210.80 better off tonight so I'm happy, despite the result. -
Next 5 League fixtures - maximum points?
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to SNSUN's topic in The Saints
We'll get 5 points from that lot. I'm convinced we're going to **** things up and end up going into our games against Brighton and Bournemouth needing wins to stay up. -
My thoughts exactly. Don't get why we've only taken him on loan. I guess it can only be because we won't have a RB when Soares goes to Arsenal.
-
Would like to see them go down, for no other reason than for the way they got rid of Houghton and replaced him with somebody no better.

Palace 0-2 Saints. Wild celebration reaction thread.

Brilliant. Superb response to Saturday's **** up. Didn't expect that at all. Bit disappointed with some of the other results tonight. Villa's 95th minute winner against Watford was a shame and I would have preferred Brighton & Bournemouth to share the spoils but hey ho, we got 3 valuable points. Same again at the weekend. -
Had a sneaky feeling this was going to be 2-3. Wish I'd put money on it. When we were 2 up at half time a colleague said "You're 2 up, that's your prediction out of the window". I laughed and said "Saints are the masters of throwing away a lead. They'll probably lose 2-3". I was busy and didn't get chance to check how the 2nd half was going. At full time I saw the score, showed it to my work mate and he just stared at the screen, open mouthed. I told him to go home and look at how many times Saints have lost from a leading position this season.
-
Agree about Pearson. It's Norwich, Villa and Saints for the drop.
-
There aren't 3 teams worse than us. Ask yourself this. Which other Premiership teams could concede 9 at home against Leicester?
-
I like Ralph but it's clear that he's not got what it takes to get a team out of this position. I think it's probably time that he went.
-
Same old ****e. Just knew we'd throw it away with 10 mins to go. Anyone know how many points we've dropped from a leading position this season?
-
Saw we were 2-1 up at 91 mins with 6 mins injury time and just knew we wouldn't take all 3 points. We're the masters of throwing away a lead. Biggest regret is not sticking £100 on Arsenal to equalise. We are **** and definitely going down.
-
Never should have let him go.
-
The current situation feels exactly the same as 2005. Problem is that there won't be a Billionaire to save us in a couple of years time. How the club can end up back in this mess in such a short space of time is a complete mystery. Clearly nobody learned anything.

Ralph will walk before he's sacked.
