  1. Amazing turnaround. Wasn't convinced by the team selection at all. Didn't look like our strongest 11 given that it was a game that we really needed to go out and win. Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time certainly did the trick. Superb stuff. Oh, and in response to ALWAYS SFC's comment on a now closed thread... I'm well aware of squad rotation and I'm entitled to my opinion that we didn't start our strongest 11 tonight. Chuffed to bits with the second half performance, however, criticising me for the timing of my post is a bit unfair when I was in work and didn't have access to the forum. Still, you always know best don't you?
  2. Got to be honest. I took one look at the team selection and thought, that doesn't look like our strongest team going out for a win. More like a team playing Championship opposition in the League Cup.
  3. He'll go to Everton. Possibly Spurs but I'd have a few quid on him ending up at Everton.
  4. Yes, and if he gets injured we're absolutely ****ed!
  5. Just compared the results from the first 7 fixtures against the same 7 fixtures last season. We're two points worse off from the same games. Not too shabby. Watford (H) L/Y Won 2-0 T/Y Drew 1-1 Man Utd (A) L/Y Won 0-1 T/Y Lost 2-0 Sunderland (H) L/Y Drew 1-1 T/Y Drew 1-1 Arsenal (A) L/Y Drew 0-0 T/Y Lost 2-1 Swansea (H) L/Y Won 3-1 T/Y Won 1-0 West Ham (A) L/Y Lost 2-1 T/Y Won 0-3 Leicester (A) L/Y Lost 1-0 T/Y Drew 0-0 L/Y T/Y 11Pts 9Pts
  6. Excellent result and a good string of results. However, I'm not going to get carried away about Puel. Let's see where we are in February.
  7. I'm here. Sorry for the delay. I had to change my clothes and the bed sheets. Didn't expect that result at all.
  8. The only thing I can see that's wrong with it is that it's all been said before. To think that Niall Quinn has actually been paid for this. It's basically like copying somebody else's homework.
  9. He looks like the only one of our strikers who can score goals yet we've got a manager who is talking about dropping him when we desperately need a win. If something is working then why the **** does he want to change it? Muppet!
  10. Apologies if that has been asked before, I couldn't see another thread. Is the Europa League replica kit with the plain red back going to be made available to buy?
  11. Not watched a Prem game this season. Been watching non-league Olney Town on a Saturday afternoon and found the whole experience far more enjoyable. Players like Hamann and Scholes are spot on with their recent comments about the premier league. Just because it has the highest paid players it doesn't make it the best league in the world. Where's the enjoyment in watching your team start to look like something special and then have the board pull the rug from underneath them by constantly selling players. I thought the idea was to push on and move forward? All I see is one step forward, Two steps back. Football has just become a business. The clubs don't give a **** about the fans. Disillusioned? Absolutely!
  12. Pretty much sums things up. I'm of the opinion that if we're 10 games in with only 1 win then we need to act fast and get rid of Puel. Sadly, I could see the club persisting for 3/4 of the season and then making a change with 10 games to go in an attempt to avoid relegation. Better to act quickly than let it drag on.
  13. Spot on! I wasn't happy with the appointment of Puel and I've seen absolutely nothing that would change my opinion. I cringed when Eddie Howe was linked with the job but on reflection I honestly believe he'd have been a better appointment. At least he seems to be able to motivate players and he actually understands the English game. If the appointment of Puel wasn't disappointing enough, we then employed Eric Black! Any way, enough of that... Out of interest, what do people think about the point at which the club say that enough is enough? If we're 10 games in with 8-10 points and bottom of the group in the EL, what do they do? Act fast and try and salvage something from the season or persist and hope that he comes good?
  14. Paying the price for letting the two leading scorers go and failing to replace them. Long is a workhorse but as I've always said, his finishing lets him down.
  15. The fact that you're a **** will never go away!
  16. Predictions??? I had a tenner on Koeman not lasting the season at 50-1. £10 is hardly going to break the bank & could have been a nice little earner. He went, just not soon enough for me to get a reward from it. Had the club told him to get his coat as soon as the Everton talk started I'd have been paid out. Hey ho. That's life...
  17. Puel's a knob. Should have never been given the job. I'm sticking by my prediction that he'll be gone before the end of the season. From what I've seen so far, I can't wait for him to **** off. If we carry on like we are we'll be bottom 3 after 10 games.
  18. We do not need another striker. We have J-Rod. We need to play him instead of loaning him out to one of our rivals. PS. Puel is a ****ing moron.
  19. In the Gladys St. End. ;-)
  20. Exactly. WTF is going on at the club? Why would you loan one of your most promising players to a rival? Tha lad needs game time at Saints. We've got more than enough fixtures ahead to give him everything he needs. As we are we don't look like scoring goals. He could easily be our solution. Redmond is not a striker. He should be out wide getting the ball in the box for players like J-Rod. Doing stupid things like loaning him to a rival is sure to come back to haunt us. Honestly, this club drive me ****ing mad at times.
  21. Puel is a knob! This formation isn't working and won't work with the players we have.
  22. Long works hard but his finishing is gash.
  23. I stand by what I said when we appointed Puel. He won't last the season. 2 games in and I've seen nothing inspiring and nothing that gives any hope at all. Moyes would have been a better appointment! Les has properly ****ed up this time.
  24. They'll have sold the spine of the team. That's never going to end well.
  25. It's being tucked away for a rainy day. It's all part of a 'Bigger Plan' that will see us become a regular top 6 team, competing in Europe every season and challenging for silverware.
