Me too. The Championship was great. Was gutted when we dropped to L1 but looking back that was far more entertaining than the Premiership, the club selling half the team at the end of each season and lying to the fans that it's all part of a 'bigger plan'. I don't buy into that at all.

The Premiership is a farce. Best league in the world? They're having a laugh. Highest wages and most hype, but that's all. I've enjoyed watching the lower leagues for the last couple of seasons. It just feels more realistic and down to earth. There's certainly less players acting like they've been machine gunned every time they're tackled.

In a strange way I hope we get a right dicking. It might make people (fans and the board) realise that you can't sell the spine of the team and replace it with mediocrity. All that talk about turning us into a top 6 team who play 'regular' European football feels a long way off at the moment.

Part of the reason for our defensive record over the past 2 seasons was because we had great players in the defensive midfield roles who did an excellent job of protecting the back 4. They've gone and it looks like we're going to play only 1 in front of the back 4 this season. I've a feeling that our defence won't look nearly as solid this term.

Once again we're reduced to this sort of ****ing nonsense. Grow up!

I'm saying that clubs are trying to buy the title by spending silly money. We'll never do that as we don't have the resources, but we do have the means to bring in a few players for the fans to get excited about. Personally I don't think we've done that or properly addressed the areas where we need to strengthen, and that includes the manager! Be honest. Do you think we're in better shape than we were this time last season?

Funny. This is the first season in as long as I can remember when I've not looked forward to the season starting. The Euro's were a huge disappointment and all I see in the Premiership are teams spending silly money.
