About the only thing that you can say about our kits historically is that they've always had red and white. I don't really care what it looks like beyond that, as long as it means I can pick out which team is ours and they're not going to make it difficult for the players to see each other. (Grey kits heh!) Whether I like a kit or not is pretty much decided after the event, depending on what the people wearing them did on the pitch and which memories seeing that kit bring back.

He looked at me and just went 'no way' We chatted for a bit and he reckoned they'd beat us at Elland Road. I wondered how he was reacting after THAT performance by Kelvin Davis later in the season. Later on the same day, someone sees me from across the road and starts running across towards me. I'm stood there wondering if something's wrong, or if I'm about to be hit... but no. They supported Saints, had seen my Saints shirt, and was making sure I knew we'd won Aaand another one who says hi to Hugh!

Meh, wasn't trying to imply he was, just pointing out the probable consequence of what he was saying. Whichever way you look at it, it was an idiotic thing for him to say.

Can he even mention the way we treat our own though, after Pompey shafted their own staff, players, and local suppliers for millions in compromise agreements the way they did? After all, Kanu was a legend for them, winning the FA Cup, and then he wanted paying for it, and they turned on him pretty sharply...

Can't help but feel he'll lose more supporters from Southampton on the doorstep than he'll gain from Pompey with that stance. They've committed to making the current ground 'the best in cricket' so I can't see them moving back down that way either.
