The work permit thing could well be true, this is controlled by the home office, who managed to come up with a "nurses and carers" entry scheme which excluded the afore mentioned carers because of low pay. He may well have lost entry points because Toulouse got relegated.

And Mark Hughes, Bowen Eddie whatsit and the rest of his entourage will be of the books at the end of this season too !

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m

After he bought Bordeaux, they worked out that they had over paid for it, so they sold their best players every window, and trousered the profits. Bordeaux are still making transfer profits after he has gone. They have a fantastic new 40,000 stadium and the potential was there to fill it and be a regular top 4 team again with just a little investment, This season they have sold only 7500 season tickets and signed no-one. -
Tom Davies has had the odd good game for Everton, but all you can really say about him is that he is an improvement on Smallbone. When we last played them, I thought he had majorly on the pies, looked very overweight. On top of that, I am not sure that going to New York fashion week is the sign of a career focused lifestye.

Mourinho style Spurs will probably sit back and counter, just the style we struggle to break down. Will be difficult to get anything without our most experienced wide players. Just hope that we defend deep too.

Moved the ball far too slowly, apart from the blind pass from Romeu which lead to their goal. Redmond was awful, but Smallbone got better in the second half when he moved off the wing. Adams and Ings looked to play off each other but with no decent service. Everyone else was average, apart form Long, who seemed to have forgotten what the round thing was during his summer break. Makeshift defence for them combined with our good record at Selhurst made it somehow inevitable.

He was a disaster at Bordeaux, making a transfer profit every window and closing the Ultras End because of their protests about how he was running the club. There was write up somewhere last year that basically said that he thought he had paid too much money for the club and wanted to get it back any way that he could. To me he sounds like another Rupert Lowe type of owner. -
I think most loan fees will be of a similar size to the amortisation for a player, so that the loss, the player, and hopefully most of the wages will be of the books for a year. Obviously this hasn't always been possible with our bigger f'@@k ups!

If we ever sign Osvaldo back, I would give him squad number 666 !

They already have form for this, holding the FA cup either side of WWII. If 40 million deaths between Cup Finals then weren't enough to embarrass them then. I doubt hundreds of thousands will bother them this time.
-
He may have been rubbish and overpriced, but that knock down at Burnley for Gabbi to equalise at Burnley was crucial to us staying up that year . From an accountancy point of view, a much better signing than Quassie or Davenport.

What streaming sites are people using now, some of mine have stopped working, i still get a few feeds on sportlemon or firstrow, but the better sites seem to have gone ?

If they are arguing over bonus payments, it looks close . I just hope we don't go for the inning the league and winning the champions league which goy us a few more million from Liverpool. As it is Spurs, we would be better of putting clauses in for reaching a semi-final, or qualifying for the Europa League. 😀

If Saints get an acceptable club, be it the dugouts or a European team, they should offer Spurs the chance to match it. If they won't up there offer, then they need to explain to PEH that the only way he will get his move to Spurs is to put in a transfer request, thereby waiving all bonuses in the rest of his contract and his cut of the fee.

No Crooks in my Pundits of the season list !

Had a pint with Austin Hayes in the Gaumont at a Peter Gabriel(RIP) gig .Lovely bloke, just not as prolific as Steve Moran, so he had to move on. Chris Nicoll offered me a lift to Uni when I was skiving off as usual,, but I didn't take him up on it, as I didn't even remember what lectures I had that day. Also had the pleasure of interviewing Mick Channon for Red Stripe in a pub at West Isley. Absoutely fantastic and entertaining bloke. I would hate to be his accountant as he had this massive wad of notes in his pocket and he was getting them in for everyone who walked in the door. Alan forgot to switch the recorder on so him and Dave Bull went back a week later to do it again.

Good solid performance, even when Eddie Howe went all Howard wilkinson for the last 20. I thought KWP was man of the match today, good tackles and cleaances and good on the ball. Miles different from the Burnley and Arsenal games. Get Tiss in for some penalty coaching. That is 3 we have missed this season. Not a fan of Ings technique for that .

Michael Antonio is an obvious one, Looked great for us, but Les Reed wouldn't pay 1/19th of a Carillo for him.

I watched the Leicester game yesterday, and I didn't even notice that Chilwell went of at half time. Whoever came on for him had such little influence on the game that I had to look up the Guardian report afterwards to see who he was ( Bennett) . Don't think I heard the commentator mention him once in 45 minutes. Vardy was crap until he got that tap in, watch him go on a run now !
-
That does my head in too. He had loads of time to turn and set up an attack. I would give Romeu a go at Watford and give Smallbone a chance in some of the less physical games.
-
Nervous about this, you just don't know how sharp the team will be after the break, My favorite Spanish team, Real Sociadad , were looking odds on for the Champions League before the shut down, Now they have picked up one point out of 2 games against relegation strugglers.

Got me there, they are not in "The Customs Union" but they do have agreement on Standards/Workers rights and free movement of goods and people as part of the EAA, unlike the UK which won't join a scheme to but PPE, just because it has Europe in the title. The point is that Norway is a lot closer to the EU than Cummings wants to be and so is much more likely to reach agreements.
-
#is that the Norway that is the EEA and Customs Union ?
-
Also, a lot of the Langoustines and prawns caught of the Scottish islands is sold on the continent. This is already causing massive problems at the moment due to restaurant closures. Without tarrif free access to the EU they will close down.
