One bonus this season is that Mark Hughes and his mates will finally be of the books. Managers can apparently draw their salary every month if the haven't yet found a new gig, until the end of the contract . Call me cynical, but that might explain why he has been all over the TV lately, trying to find another mugg.

Aside from the whole racist text thing and Bojo and Patels role in it, when you consider the lazer incident. The booing of national anthems, the inability of Wembley to run a security cordon , there is absolutely no chance of England getting the 2030 world Cup. The only way they could have less chance is if Dido Harding was running it.

I switched over to French TV as the commentary was soo bad, it was starting to make me cheer for Denmark. My command of French isn't so good to notice if the mentioned Jensen going off. No wonder England looked so comfortable defending the lead .

ITV commentators crack me up, they are so bad. When the Danes had that break at 1 nil , he said it was a great cross by Hojberg, but he had 4 players to pick out and he missed the lot. If he had done that while he was playing for Saints I would have done my nut. Also, them bigging up the save from Sterling, Sterling hit him in the middle of the chest. Crap finish, end of! An Italian or Argentinian striker would have put it in the top corner, Che Adams would have hit the same spot as Sterling !

Don't knock Frank Lampard, if he hadn't broken Timo Werner , England might not have got to the semi final

I think it is down to the players. The better ones, like Salisu, are giving us 2 years, then they expect to be off to CL club

Game of 3 chances, and England took both of theirs. Not sure what the commentators saw in Saka, he won an early free kick and did nothing after that. What is going on in the Bundesliga when there only CF is Werner ?
-
Che is MOM so far, looks so confident. If we can get him to aim for the corners, rather than blast it down the middle, he will be some player.

For positive reinforcement of existing views and prejudices ?

For me his starting position is all wrong. He seems to be off his line far too early and is easily chipped. I haven't seen a keeper chipped so much sing the London Saints tour to Seville ( sorry Reggie ).

I know it is a strange squad, but are you saying Southgate was dropping acid when he picked it ?
-
I don't think he will sign until the transfer window closes. Keeping his options open.

Agree with all of that. Ralph has improved a lot of players. shame he can't do it with Vallery and Jankrwitz.
-
He fucked up a good breakaway before that when he lost control of the ball when we had men over.
-
Minamino funked up 2 good chances with bad touches , the one on one and a great break before that. 2 bad bits of defending and it's all gone. 2nd half has started and Redmond is still on the pitch WTF

According to the Guardian, he is suspended for this one, although Lille are appealing because one booking was not filed properly. Let's not forget Jeremy Pied is there too. We could have done with him this year as cover for KWP.

Like Saint_Jonny, I thought we played well for the first hour. Leeds are a side that you definitely need the first goal against, as it opens the game up and they can no longer rely on their brilliant counter attacks. Our two wide men weren't great, yesterday, although the new system of a hybrid 3 at the back does keep them looking over their shoulders a bit, Also, I wish KWP would hug the touchline more. In the last 15 minutes he kept running into the crowd of defenders, rather than try and draw them out. I switched channels after the 2nd so didn't hear the booing, although I did see people leaving early, FFS , there were only 8,000 fans, it would not take you long to get out of the stadium, plus it was an early KO, so plenty of trains to get you home!

From memory you NEED Staff canteen . Secure perimeter Enough Internet connections for 100 photographers behind each goal. Expand the press box to accommodate the extra demand. Radio links between all staff teams Vip greeters Replace all the adverts with Uefa sponsors. Build a massive TV studio with secure back ups Drug test facility Media tent

I think people under estimate how much work goes into these type of events. I was a volunteer for Eur02106 in Bordeaux and started work 4 weeks before the first game. There are all sorts of contractors needed, for signage etc, covering up existing advertising, IT, project management, TV etc. You can't just move them all at the last minute, as they would have to quarantine for two weeks.

One of the new reforms the EPL and EFL need to bring in is a total ban on leveraged takeovers . No cash, no deal. I don't see how a club like Burnley are any better of with a new owner and a massive debt than they were with a skint owner, It is the equivalent of mortgaging your house to pay for a holiday.

Was at as Lazio Napoli match years ago. One of the Napoli fans fired a flare at the Lazio fans, but it hit a beam and the roof, doing a great snooker shot and landing right back by the guy who launched it.

They do like throwing themselves in front of things at Leicester. In the 2nd half their wing back tried to get in front of a Saints player in the box and stopped dead to get some contact. Luckily the ref didn't fall for that one. Tyler just said he was just trying to shield the ball, which had already gone! . I seem to remember they got 3 penalties in the one game at Man City by doing the same thing. It is like the insurance con were someone pulls onto a roundabout and slams the brakes on.

Just watched it this morning. Never a red card in a million years. On the Guardian comments blog all the Leicester fans seem to agree as well. Football Focus dideven mention it. If it was Man u or the dippers they would have debated it so long that they would have cancel Songs of Praise the next day. The worst tackle all night was on Tella by Ndidi? and the ref never even talked to him. Great defensive performance, if we can wrap some pressing periods around that we will do well. Salisu was immense, and needs more games.

We need to score at least once to get anything from this, as Inneacho is on such a hot streak at the moment. When the first rumours of Ings not signing his new contract appeared, there was talk of Leicester as a possible buyer, I thought at the time that if he went there, Inneacho would be a good exchange, with some money coming our way as well. How times change, now it is more likely that City would take up there option to buy him back than he gets offloaded to a team likes us.
