  1. No team is invincible, everyone loses sometimes, its not always a bad thing. Gets peoples feet back on the ground. The important thing is the reaction, batter Hull and its back on the bus full speed ahead, struggle and we could have a problem developing.
  2. I have no one in my family tree that comes from, or has links to, down there. I am pure, the rest of you are all tainted half breeds. That is all. You semi-skate bastards, were coming for (half) of you...

    Flag

I don't see what there is to argue about, Mike, and everyone who contributed, did a fantastic job to get it organised but the Liebherr family have asked that it is only used for the memorial game, their wishes should be respected.
  4. This doesn't bother me at all, apart from the price of the match ticket I will not be spending a single penny in that rotting cesspit of a town
  5. Don't know if this is old news but Saints are trialling a GLT system called Hawkeye, just been on SSN. Rochdale (!) are trialling a different system Edit: just seen the post in the Lounge. Lock away...

    Club shop

In a way I can understand them selling out of some bits, the club are exceeding all expectations on the pitch and that is clearly going to have a positive effect on sales. What gets me is that you would think they might at least have a clue when the next lot are due in, especially at this time of year. There could be a lot of very dissapointed kids on xmas morning.

    Club shop

Tried to buy the boys shirts for xmas earlier. Completely sold out of any home shirt smaller than large. Asked when the next delivery is due, 'hopefully before xmas'. Inspired. Guess the shop is run by the same managagement team that 'run' the ticket office.

The Rickie one is difficult, when you see it in slo mo you can see the contact, if any, is minimal, however at full speed any ref in the country would have given it. Of course any other ref would have given the earlier one where Rickie was 'assualted' (FLS commentators words).
  12. Christ, if you were going out with one of them you wouldn't want to get caught knobbing her sister....
  13. That would be common sense, something the ticket office seems fairly short of since David Luker left
  14. Could be a lot of things. Is your saddle level, or pointed down? When you say decent road bike, do you mean a 'racer', or a sit up and beg type town bike? Racers aren't exactly built for comfort but it sounds from the description like you are sat too upright. Have you had the bike set up to your physical dimensions or is it off the peg. You can get a professional set up, but they're not cheap, there are loads of website thrt will give you a fairly decent basic set up. EDIT: just searched online, thats a pretty decent bike/sddle combo you've got. Start with the saddle, get it level, use a spirit level so its spot on. Saddles like that are meant to be sat on for hours on end, hence why they are so narrow. Less contact=less places to rub against. They other thing is they do take a while to 'break in', and equally as daft as it sounds, if you haven't done a lot of cycling, your backside isn't designed to sit on something like that, it will take time for it to toughen up.

  16. I'd like us to sign Riquelme, not because he's a good player, but just to **** corp ho off a bit more...
  17. The keeper saved it, actually it was a bloody good save too. Unfortunately the miopic twins both missed it and gave the goal kick.

Don't know how anyone can say the second pen was dodgy, Rickie was clearly tripped. Re-take was a bit bizarre though...
  19. 'Poyet, whats the score' with a bit of luck
  20. Fair enough, although if you start both team on 0 points when Nige took over we would have won the league easily. Sounds to me more a case of 'I better reign in my comments a bit as I reckon we are gonna get smashed all round St Marys', fingers crossed
  21. Probably not the correct choice of phrase for this thread to be fair...
  22. Hang on, what happens if they start singing 'you're too ugly to be gay'? Surley thats heterophobic and uglyist all in one chant, I could feel extremely upset if they did that, I want them to hate me because were above them in the league, not because I'm straight and ugly!
  23. Never put a light bulb in your back pocket
  24. Like Um says its a bit of a double edged sword. Personally I hope they play at Testwood (and not just because its walking distance), for me the whole magic of the fa cup bit is just this, big teams having to come to non league outbacks, it awlays gives the minnows a shout at getting a shock. On the other side of the coin, the club could get a massive financial boost by playing it at SMS, although they would probably go out. Also the cynic in me wonders what Nicola would charge them for the use of the ground...
  25. I support Southampton in the league, and Totton in the non-leagues. Whats your point?
