Those guys have got some bottle. How does this sort of think ever happen. Who wakes up one morning & thinks to himself "I think I'll put some nails through my bike tyres & ride it full tilt around an ice rink." - Crazy (but entertaining).

Because 6-7 years ago he played behind one of the worst defences ever to grace the premiership, if some posters on here are to be believed every goal that he's conceeded is entirely his fault, & in those 6-7 years he hasn't improved or matured.

We have Wave 105 on in the office. When we first started to listen to it it was great, used to play plenty of rock, (Queen, Meatloaf, Led Zep etc I even recall them playing Deep Purple), mixed with plenty of 80s 90s & current stuff, but in the last few years it's gone more uptodate. Ther's too much A-dull & Olly Murs now, but with the odd gem thrown in. TBH we only keep it on now because the mystery year is usually pretty good & worth listening to, and when that's finished no-one can be bothered to re-tune because the radio is pretty ancient & you get loads of interferrence when you go near it.

Thanks Dave, you have an email.

With regards to the Skates bringing in loanees, surely it is in our best interests for them to do this, they have yet to play Leeds, Boro, Reading, Brighton, Brum & Hull, all of which are within 11 points of us. We could do with our fishy friends taking points off them. Just a thought.

Is the United Kingdom united?

Done, didn't take anymore than 2 minutes.

Iirc it means "come by here", or pass this way.

What a prat, who in their right mind would do that even if it is a cheap copy. As far a rock 'n' roll vandalism goes, it's a bit lame. Pete Townshend used to destroy his in one or two mighty swings, how many attempts did this fool take?

The Eclipse in Winchester is supposedly haunted by a grey lady. It's a long time since I've been there, but I recall a painting on the wall of the said grey lady.

What he says. It feels like the good old days in the way the players have stuck around. The fans have warmed to the players & vice versa. Hopefully the days of mercanary players coming in for a season (or even just half a season) have gone. I feel like this squad have grown with each other sharing the bad times with the good, and it would be a shame, and a bit disloyal for the club to bring in a host of new players should we get promoted.

I've been building an extension/refurbing for about 4 years, so I fit diy in around SFC & rugby.

I heard it & was very pleased he said it. I used to sign off by posts on a music forum with that, it used to annoy the hell out of the skate on there, (he's not posted for some time now). I wonder if Nigel is a Queen fan?

Well I'm confused now, I was speaking to a mate of mine recently about parking across dropped kerbs, he works for the council & his job sometimes requires that he deals with this sitution. He told be that it is perfectly legal to park across a driveway/dropped kerb, unless you are blocking someone in the driveway, not stopping them getting in, but stopping them getting out. Basically he said that if there is a car on the driveway, or a closed garage don't park there, if there is nothing on the driveway, or an open & empty garage, you can park there. You got a ticket for neither blocking in, or out - I don't understand. -
Loved that, a thoroughly deserved win & a clean sheet too. I think Jos is now the more dominant of the centre-backs, a great signing & on his way to becoming a cult hero. Cracking goal from Lee, I thought he was going to shake hands with the whole stadium as he went off. Special mention to KD, that save he made when we were 1-0 up was a cracker & it was vital he kept hold of it, could have been different if that had gone in.

Good for me . I'm away on the Saturday with my nipper on a rugby tour.

Do you have one from the MLT Testimonial? It's the only match I've been to & never got a programme for.

It was supposed to be built on the piece of wasteland next to Central Hall. The guy proposing it originally wanted to build a small supermarket with offices & flats above. Construction drawings were well advanced & suddenly he pulled the plug owing all the consultants involved a lot of money. The land next door became available and he had plans for the rink drawn up. I'll be very surprised if it happens. The feeling is that he is not expecting to get the grant or planning approval and will be "forced" to build appartments on a much larger site than before, giving him a far better return financially.

That's a surprisingly big drop for him to L2. Good luck to him & hope he can stay fit & get regular football.
