  1. It will be £215 for my 11 year old, so I make that an increase of 14333%, you can get loans from Wonga.com at better rates than that.
  2. I don't remember any yellow, pretty sure it was plain red with green shorts.
  3. Windsor, as in a big castle near London, or Winsor, as in famous football club who used to play at Millbrook Rec. If the latter, I played for them as well, between '87ish & 94 ish.
  4. When I was a kid I used to play in a 6-a-side competition where the team winning the most corners were awarded drawn games, that way the more attacking team should win (in theory at least). I've no idea what would happen if the corner count was equal.
  5. Love Is All Around by Wet Wet Wet, not very imaginative, but when we got married it had been no. 1 for about 6 months. I don't 'do' dancing, but by the time we got to this part of the day I'd had a few glasses of champers & much to my new wifes surprise turned this slowy into something resembling a 50's jive. I'm still seeing the osteopath 18 years later.
  6. Bitterne Balti on the Triangle (take away & restaurant)
  7. Fair play to them, especially as the monies raised is going to charity, but why anyone would pay 1200 quid for a photo is beyond me:eek:
  8. The above post is correct, to a point. To do what the OP wants he will need to get Planning & Building Reg approval. There are 2 ways to achieve Building Regs, have plans drawn, specifying all the insulation, structural sizes etc, or have the work approved by the BCO as it proceeds. Having plans prepared and approved is usually the best way, everything is specified & approved before anyone sets foot on site. You (the client) can specify insulation thickness etc, more onerous U-values, plasterboard type etc, as long as it meets with the minimum statutory targets required. Personally I would never let a builder loose without getting agreed/approved plans, or expect him to design the job as he proceeds.
  9. The Federation of Master Builders is usually a good port of call.
  10. Not my thing, (but it is for many people) although Hot Stuff is pretty good. 63 is no age. Rip
  11. Hadn't heard this until now. Very sad news, saw him in 89-90ish with The Blues Brothers Band (including Steve Cropper) with Eddie Floyd the Hammersmith Odeon (or Apollo). Terrific bass player. Rip
  12. Sorry but 2! =2
  13. SPG (Special Patrol Group)
  14. They really are idiots down there, we had to beat Man U, we lost, nothing else mattered.
  15. Try The Chilworth Arms (The Clump Inn), or The Plough in Portsmouth Rd, both used to keep their pitches up over the summer. It's many years since I played on either, but it may be worth a phone call, or try astro-pitches (The Sports Centre, Trojans, Cantell School, The School in Chandlers Ford etc).
  16. Never used them, I couldn't see the point. It would take some impressive dexterity for a 2 year old to insert something (screw driver or the like) into the earth socket, then simultaneously poke a pair of screw drivers into the other two sockets. Used cupboard clips on the sink cupboard with the cleaning products in though, found them to be a pain in the arse for us though (which is probably shows they are doing their job).
  17. KD against Leeds for me. In the clip SuperMickey posted up I counted 6 saves. As an ex-keeper that's as good as any hatrick for me.
  18. Six Million Dollar Man The Bananna Splits Arabian Knights (siiiiiiiiiize of an elephant) Monkey
  19. Cheers guys, the concensus appears to be to wait & get more Euros to my quids. I realise we're only talking beer money really, but my son has saved up some of his own money for this, so I want to get him the best price I can, although I'm sure the bank of Dum & Mad will top him up a little. Minsk, I'm aware that if the Euro was to fall it would be better to wait, not sure why I typed otherwise, it's been a long week. .
  20. My son will be going on a school trip in July & will need some Euros. How will the almost inevitable Greek implosion & affect the exchange rate. Should I be buying now or wait a few weeks? I know next to nothing about economics (a bit like most economists), but my feeling is that the Euro will start to fall against the £, so it's probably best to buy now?
  21. Coincidentally I found my copy in the loft a couple of weeks ago & gave it to my son, he's been proudly showing this page to his mates since.
  22. Chris Peacock (say it fast) used to present on ITV. Used to work with a John Thomas, in fact I've worked with a few, but only one had the name.
  23. Copse Rd is in Townhill Park, despite what the Echo says .
  24. I remember the first time I saw a womens match, it was happening on the pitch adjacent to where my son was playing. At first I was reasonably impressed, all the physical aspects, tackling, rucking, mauling etc were just as whole heart as the blokes, but as soon as anyone tried to kick the ball it was shocking, if by some fluke they managed to get some height on the thing, no-one would catch it, they'd let it bounce fitrst (it was like watching the 11 year olds in their first season of kicking). God knows how they restarted, I didn't watch for too long.
  25. Don't know of him, but I do watch Poole once or twice a season. It's always very sad when a sportsman looses his life participating in the sport he loves. Rip.
