No more free season tickets for blind supporters
Dimond Geezer replied to ecuk268's topic in The Saints
Have things changed? From my experience, admitedly it's been a couple of years since I've accompanied my mate, (he has MND & is now too ill to leave the house), but the wheelchairs were infront of the first row of seating, so no actual seats were allocated to the wheelchair, but a bay in front of them -
You have a pm.

http://www.fifa.com/worldranking/index.html As we have now risen to 6th in the FIFA rankings , and with only three european teams in front of us, we should make the semis.

Not city centre (or even city) but Ghandis Chopsticks in Eastliegh will fulfil your needs, serving both Indian & Chinese & do (or at least did, it's been a while) a pretty good ayce buffet.

Angleman, I assume your son is wheelchair bound. The facilities for wheelchairs at SMS are pretty good, In the past I've been an enabler for a mate of mine, iirc there are wheelchair spaces all around the perimeter of the pitch, access is great, but you may wish to wait until the bulk of the crowd have left before leaving yourself. -
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/18343959 I know nothing about paper folding, and not a lot more about Star Trek, but according to this, Cook is world no.1, the other guy, Lutalo Muhammad, is world no. 59, therefore assuming there are no other Brits ranked nos. 2-58 in the world, I'm guessing that makes Muhammad British no.2.

I'll take a look to see if I've still got mine, but as the bin men came yesterday I doubt if I do. If I have it, I'll pm you tomorrow.

I can't believe it's taken a French leader 68 years to do this. To me that show a great deal of dis-respect to the fallen, but possibly sums up the arrogance of the nation as a whole. What ever your politics, you've got to give him credit for doing this.

Definitely not. I spent a long time painting red & white stripes on my son's ceiling (it truly is a sight to behold ), in fact the whole room is red & white, so I wouldn't be too chuffed if NC suddenly said we were playing in something different.

The blind supporter being interviewed on Wave 105 this morning didn't have a problem, he agreed that it wasn't his right to attend f-o-c, and said he was happy to pay. As usual it's those that speak out for minorities that have a problem, not those actually affected. As others have said a concession would be the right thing to do. Do the visually-impaired refs have to pay now as well? -
The effects were awesomw, especially during the Madness set. I would imagine HM was a bit worried during the pyrotechniques, but I guess the London Fire Service were on standby around the back.

Personally never (it was a figure of speech), but anyone who meets her has too, no speaking, or eye contact unless spoken too, ma'am as in jam, not "marm". Bow from the waist etc etc, if that's not fawning what is. Thanks for giving me the option, I'll choose not too, and I don't disagree with the rest of your sentence. I think it would have been nice of her to make a speech last night, if only to say "thanks" but I guess that is beneath her.

You can be proud to be British without being a monarchist (or royalist). I'm the former & not the latter. My opinion is that the monarchy is outdated & once the Queen goes, it should be ended. I don't want to be doffing my cap & fawning over someone who gets respect purely for an accident of birth.

Ah! Of course, silly me.

I agree, he has a limited singing ability, but he makes use of what he has very well, as you said he's a great showman & entertainer.

I'm a tad confused, the Queen's accession was 6th February 1952, her coronation was 2nd June 1953, so why are we celebrating the 59th anniversary of the coronation? Why were the no flotillas, gigs in The Mall & general bunting hanging back in February, when it was actually the diamond jubilee?

My MIL left my 2week old BIL in the pram outside a shop (this was 1966 when you left prams outside shops), she walked home & suddenly realised she'd forgotten something, but couldn't think what it was, then the penny dropped & she ran back for him, still there, still asleep.

From weaning we actively encouraged our kids to eat veg, my wife would cook extra with the sunday roast, whizz it up & freeze it, then thaw it when needed throughout the week, no shop-bought baby food for our kids, and we seldom took 'no' for an answer when they were toddlers. Consequently, at the ages of 11 & 15, they happily eat brocolli, beans, carrots, kale etc. In fact pretty much anything, except mushrooms. Our youngest has even earned a bit of a reputation as the kid that eats the left over brocolli at the christmas dinner.

Glad to see the locals never let us down.

Not disgusted or surprised & not going to boycott, but some serious thought is being given as to justifying my attendance. The kids will be getting their tickets.

The maths is fine, but the logic is a bit ropey . I'm not sure where I've complained about the cost going up, if you could kindly point this out to me I'd be grateful. For the record though it will cost me £22.63 for my 2 kids this coming season (a fact, not a complaint), where as I think it cost £6.52 last year, I say I think because I can't be sure how much the kids ST was last year, although I have £150 in my head.

A friend of my wife claimed about two grand herself & got paid out in about 4-5 months without any fuss, yet my secretary (who on the face of it is more intelligent than my wifes mate) used an agency to make her claim, it was all approved & 2 years down the line, she is still battling the agency to get her cash.
