It explains why they refused to pass to him though.

Too much for me, I'll watch the flame for free in town, Arsenal when we play them next season, and as for Rangers, well I'll have to check out the Bury fixtures first.

Isle of Wight Festival - Oops - Anyone stuck?

I'd rather the IOW was gridlocked than So'ton. -
If only they stayed like that. Congrats to both of you. My eldest is nearly 16, seems like yesterday & I can remember every detail about his birth, amazing stuff.

It does, but I don't think they enforce this. When my lads were away (scout camp or something) I wanted to take my nieces, I phoned the TO to see if there would be a problem as the boy's tickets have their full name on them. I was told it wasn't a problem.

Ok, furry-muff . It wasn't the banana metaphor, I happen to find in appropriate, I just found it a bit terse, could just be the nature of the written, rather than spoken, word.

Ah ok, Thanks for that. I didn't realise he would be excluded from wearing a naval uniform at an army shin-dig. Alps, it was a simple question, it didn't need the aggressive posturing for an answer, but thanks for taking the time.

This was something I asked at the jubilee celebrations, I wondered what the Chelsea Pensioners, who were proudly wearing their medals, actually thought about being presented to the Royal family, who had a lot more bling than they did. As a civilian, who knows his place amid all this military testosterone, and clearly has no real right to comment, I think I would feel a little cheated. However, as Moonraker said, the acid test, is whether the members of the military would feel devalued in any way, Clearly the answer is they do not. Now can anyone answer me this, why was Prince Andrew not wearing any uniform, and a far as I could see, no medals, at the Trooping of the Colour? After all, he has earned the right to do so.

No probs. Been a STH for 10 years through thin & thinner. What I was inferring is that with the price of the tickets I want to get my moneys worth & not miss any matches. I've a long standing appointment on 31 Aug & 1st Sep, I just knew we'd get a home match for that weekend. The law of sod is certainly true.

Wow. I just love the noise they make, makes your spine tingle.

Why? What he said.

Bloody typical, the only date I can't make is at home to Man Utd, here's hoping Sky can do me a favour & move it to Sunday or Monday.
-
Good luck to him. I think Championship is his level, so hopefully he'll do well at County & eventually get to where I believe he could be. It's a shame it didn't work out for him at Saints.

OK, I have to accept there really is a 'looney' left.....

On the positive side, I'd get more opportunities to read the paper. -
Made me laugh, so I've nicked it.

Against my better judgement I've renewed, Mrs Geezer persuaded me to, I think she likes her quite saturday afternoon. She's in for a shock, when we're actually playing at random times between Friday & Monday evenings. I managed to link my kids to my account, but as someone else above, they wanted to charge me full price for the three of us, with all three tickets in my name, so after a chat with the TO we managed to sort things out & purchase tickets at the correct price. I then go to see how many points I'd got, only to find that the points for the kids tickets have not been credited. I'm now waiting for Charlotte (with the deeply alluring voice ) from the TO to get onto the website admin. Why have we hever had a decent ticket sales website?

Probably not worth it. Platini hates us & all things British (did you see his face when Chelsea won the CL final), so we've got no chance. Despite having the stadia & infrastructure already in place & a proven track record organising major tournaments (Euro 96, commonwealth games & hopefully the Olympics wont embarrass us) we won't get a look in.

We do a similar thing with rugby coaching, except we have 2 teams, at each end is a player acting as a 'net', within a 1m x 1m square, if he catches the ball the team is awarded a point, but to encourage running into space, you need to execute 5 passes before shooting & you can't shoot from more than 5m from the goal. The kids respond very well to it & it encourages an understanding of space, movement & teamwork.

NC & Peter Hill-Wood would know the answer & they aint tellin'.
