That no longer has the desired affect. My son watched Jaws recently, when I knew this bit was due, I watched him, not a flicker, or flintch. He's either made of sterner stuff, or Harry Potter has sanitised him.

Not since 1994 I think. Paul Rodgers is back now.

I thoroughly recommend it. It's great riding bare-back again, after so many years of wearing a mac.

I only eat 1.9 rashers a day. I'm confident I'll be fine.

The old guy on The Triangle, next to the bookies, £5.50 for a grade 3, done in 10 minutes - sorted. -
As I see, it the women that had these put in should have them replaced by whomever installed them, be it a private practice or the NHS. The practice or NHS then recoup the money from the manufacturers. In the event of the private clinic having gone bust (do you see what I did there ), then the NHS should remove (not replace) them in the event of them becoming problematic, to prevent any health risks. I would guess that a large proportion of these implants were for purely cosmetic purposes, so I don't see why the NHS (ie the tax payer) should foot the bill for someone elses vanity.

Two boys, 15 & 11. Pleased I got a boy first time around, relieved I got one the second time. No ballet, hair tongs, ponies or pmt, all football, rugby & tree climbing and plenty of hand-me-downs. Once they hit secondary school they get expensive though.

Really, I quite like them. I think I'll go for N'Dubz

Telling young children about a lost loved one...
Dimond Geezer replied to saintscottofthenortham's topic in The Lounge
Sorry for your loss, my condolences to you & your family. When my gran, passed away, she was very close to my kids. My kids were about 9 & 5, my eldest was very close to her, (as she used to mind him for a few hours each week until he started school), & we used the "gone to heaven" line. My youngest couldn't say it very well and said she'd gone to Devon. Should you not want to put a religious slant on it, you could always say grandad has become a star in the sky, go outside on a starry night, and pick a star that will become grandad for evermore. Don't worry about the kids though, they're more resillient than you may give them credit. There will be tears, no doubt, but after a very short time they will move on. They won't forget, but it won't bother them either. -
Probably after King Duncan of Scotland. I suspect the Jocks may claim it as theirs once they gain independence.

That's awful. My condolences to his family. The same thing happened at my sons rugby club about 6 years ago. There was a horrible atmosphere around the club for a while - god knows what the family were feeling. Very sad indeed.

Quick tip re B&Q. If you know someone over 60, ask them to get a Diamond Card, they get 10% off on Wednesdays. I saved a small fortune by taking my old man to B&Q on a Wed evening & benifiting from his discount.

That was my first Saints game. I'm sure it was either '79 or '80, as I remember talking excitedly to my teacher about it. I thought David Harvey, ex of Leeds, was in goal, but now you mention it, I remember something about Grob as well, maybe they took one half each. I've still got the pink programme in the loft. I think for the shoot-out they dribbled from the 35 yd line.

IIRC should any part of the forwards body that is permitted to come into contact with the ball (ie all of it except the hands), be beyond the defender, then he is offside. Clearly the top of The Queens head is offside.

Same four for me, I've no idea who the others are.

I assume you pay tax & NI, this goes towards the benifits people receive. You must be pretty annoyed.

Putting aside the rights & wrongs of having 10 kids & whether you can support them or not, it must be terribly heart breaking for the family to have to choose 4 kids to "abandon".
