Where are the International Players going to come from?
Dimond Geezer replied to Professor's topic in The Saints
Well done, every loves a smart arse. I randomly select a team outside of the FIFA 100 and you manage to find some stats to prove me wrong, although your desperation doesn't invalidate my point. I could have chosen American Samoa. Yes I was really lucky not to select Iceland, that really would have been embarrassing wouldn't it, although according to wiki the population at the Start of this year was estimated at 318,452. -

This thread makes no sense at all, why do we need a player just because he's an international? If I were a betting man I'd put money on none of the current Faroe island team getting a game in the Championship, let alone the prem. Sure it gives the fans something to brag about, perhaps, but do we really want our players running the risk of getting injured or burnt out just so we can go on Pompey forums and brag about our International players -
A fantastic player, one of the very best. I Can't say I'm surprised he had an early death when you consider he was a very heavy smoker & almost, if not quite, an alcoholic. However, it wasn't the fags, or booze that got him, although I suspect his body was pretty weakened by the abuse. Rip

Don't forget those fans that queued for the autograph of the Administrator.

I only caught the last 20 minutes, but it sounded like an all round bad day at the offfice, players & manager alike, but with the Hammers also losing it's not the end of the world, we will not win every game we paly & we are still top. I hope the authorities have closed the Itchen Bridge tonight, because from the sounds of things on here the Coastguard will have a busy evening. -

No mate, 2 months full pay, 1 at half pay, no private medical insurance either. -
But Chappers was playing for us on loan & he wasn't signed until the January window opened.
-
Not myself, but the Arsenal fan who was sat next to us at the cup final went home with a sore eye, as my then 7 year old son poked him in it with his flag.
-
Excellent news. Does anyone know why he was already registered with us rather than Celtic?

There is insurance available against this, as I recall (it was 11 years ago when we last moved) it was pretty cheap. We bought ours through our solicitor (Eric Robinsons, but I wouls assume other solicitors would offer it). It saved us a fortune - twice. We lost the buyers for our house & we also pulled out of a purchase, it paid out both times.

I want a PFC for christmas, it's the gift that keeps giving!

Is that the case though, as first time around they were in the Prem?

More likely to lose Pompey, rather than lose to them.

Snickers has peanuts in, mice go crazy for peanuts, you can even get traps pre-baited with peanut butter at B & Q.

'tis true, but I'm a bit olde skool & think my kids should be in school being educated during term time. I've accepted that holidays will be more expensive, probably for another 6 years or so. Well actually this isn't quite true as we haven't had one for 3 years. -

Taking my son to my private sector place of employement, because his teachers don't want to teach him on Wednesday, despite the fact that they are better paid & have better pensions than I do. -
Shocked. A good player in his day. Must have had some serious problem to take his own life. My condolences to his family & friends. Rip

Damn you beatt me to it, I'll do the next verse then: Syphilis, it all started with a drunken kiss, now I've got scabs on my private bits.
-
That's a fair point. The emboldened bit is why their is so much wrong with society.

The report I heard says there were no weapons involved. I'd like to think that if I was the courier, with my helmet on & visor down, carrying a relatively heavy box, and being confronted by an un-armed man, rather than give him the box of cash, I'd hit him with the box, before legging it into the bank. Now, I've never been in this particular situation, so obviously I don't know how I'd actually react, and may just do as the guard did & hand it over, but I'd like to think that I'd have had a go.
-
Given that in neither robbery did the perps enter the bank I'd suggest it is probably safer to be in the bank than outside.
