  1. Excellent news, Bart just isn't good enough yet. I think I'll trust Adkins judgement.
  2. Benny Hill used to live in Westrow Garden, about 2 minutes walk from The Dell. He would walk past my office in Archers Road, almost daily, on his way to Co-op in Bedford Place. I bumped into him on several occasions. If you greeted him, he would always reciprocate, and he was always smartly dressed, usually in a light grey suit, with an open necked shirt.
  3. Yeah, your memories are better than mine, you're both right, I've just looked it up on Youtube. I does appear that a free kick is given after he's done it.
  4. Christ, I'd forgotten about that. I'd give you guys a run for your money any time. (as long as it was 80's music)
  5. Just a beard, then I'd go for Kelvin, but ,if we're counting 'taches I'll nominate Frank Worthington.
  6. Although Higuita did his scorpion kick, after the whistle had blown for offside. Factoid of the day: Higuita has more international goals than Emile Heskey.
  7. Went to one (Lyme Regis I think) whilst camping in Charmouth in 1984. Gary Davies was host & we had our banner read out. Exciting times.
  8. Thanks for the tip. Fortunately I drink bitter.
  9. Yet another of the 27 club Jimi Hendrix, Curt Cobain, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison, always thought she wouldn't be long for this world. Not a fan, I always thought she was over-rated, but hope she's at peace now.
  10. Well done, let us know if they cough up.
  11. Two rugby players spring to mind, the first is Ian Roberts, an Aussie League player & the others is Gareth Thomas ex welsh Union Captain.
  12. Mrs Geezer & I were sat in Starbucks last Saturday when a group of young French girls came in, they were so much tidier, elegant & better presented than English girls. As we left we were passed by a couple of English girls of a similar age, they were both in tracksuits, with bleached blonde hair, with the obligatory dark roots, scraped back into a pony-tail, of sorts, and could have done with missing a meal or two, as they passed us their conversation consisted of " 'e's a right tw at, 'e's been on the f****** phone all morning, I wish 'eh would f*** right off". Lovely stuff. I often wonder how these women manage to get pregnant, as they undoubtedly will several time over.
  13. I'll go with that one as well. Worst, my son's socks after coming back wet from cub camp this weekend. He'd put them in the bottom of his rucksack & the whole bag was rank.
  14. Honarily ararded it in 2003 along with Wenger. If NA keeps it up he'll should be getting a real one soon.
  15. Much easier on the eye than the usual brown ones. Incidentally, the club are on to this, I've just got an email from "Liela" (I think that was it) at SFC saying to call the TO if you've got the wrong ones.
  16. I got mine a couple of days ago & just lobbed them in the drawer without checking. Fortunately I've got a complete set.
  17. I'm not that fussed either way. I can't understand why people get so emotive about it. It's a football shirt, nothing more, nothing less.
  18. 28JACKSON Friday, July 15, 2011 at 10:09 PM A police caution eh? I hope it was a really good tongue lashing they received. 26Chronic Bob Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 04:43 PM I feel there has been enough vilification of this pair, they have been punished and I'm sure they are feeling very ashamed of their actions. I think they should be left now, to just go home and lick their wounds
  19. Only if you use the car park. I managed to park for free & legally in one of the roads behind Freeborne Motors on Saturday when purchasing tickets for the upcoming friendlies.
  20. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2393945,00.html but NC doesn't want to acknowledge the past.
  21. There's an element of truth in this, I was a keeper & my heroes were Shilts, Flowers & Budgie. As for my kids, for the 10 year old it's now Barney (Previously Papa Waigo), where as my 14 year old thinks Jaidi is God.
  22. I'm Southampton born. That's it really.
  23. I've just cancelled my wifes automatic renewal. The policy is in my wifes name, but the payments come from a joint bank account & I do all the sorting out for it. I got through all the usual security questions and was then asked if my wife was with me, to which I answered "no". That was it. I wasn't allowed to continue because I didn't have a females voice. My secretary (who is female) phoned back 30 minutes later & did it for me. Bloody ridiculous.
  24. I am worried that the examiners wouldn't be as tolerent as the teachers, but I guess the bit in bold is probably more pertinent.
