  1. ....and curry
  2. Not only prententious, but aslo wrong, unless it is an acceptable variant though . As for the orange, I saw that edition of QI too.
  3. 3.6 x 3.7m of underlay cost me £65. I was advised to stay clear of the rubber stuff & go with the foam type as it has better insulation properties & keep it's shape better, and is actually cheaper.
  4. I've used Carpet Right on several occasions without any problems. Coincidentally myself & Mrs Geezer were carpet shopping on Saturday. We ended up ordering from Mr H in Bevois Vally (no help to someone in W Suxxex), because their underlay was cheaper & of a better quality than Carpet Rights. With regards to fitting, I'd let the supplier do it, that way they will deliver & fit at the same time & you don't have a 4m roll of carpet cluttering up the lounge for a few days. This ranged between £35-50 depending on the store.
  5. I hate to say it but I find myself agreeing with Dune/Stanley, but to say someone is thick purely because they are incorrect is in itself incorrect, or possibly even displaying a lack of education. My boss has a PhD in Structural Engineering, he certainly isn’t thick, but it annoys the hell out of me, as he uses ‘haitch’. Here’s something else for Dunely to get his teeth into, the use of the letter ‘h’ as a vowel, especially when preceding ‘hotel’. It’s either “an ‘otel” or “a hotel”.
  6. I remember that. Must have been at the Milton Rd end, it one of those times when the crowd had gone quite, and as clear as a bell you heard "f***ing hell Stevie" being hollered.
  7. FFS. I trust my fiver will be refunded to my paypal account forthwith.
  8. I'm surprised you missed it. It's a cracker, I'm sure in time it will be destined for the Golden Posts Section. Brace yourself - here it comes: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?25870-Saints-Wallpaper-(not-virtual)
  9. Absolutely not, don't implement it for a year or so. I've just coughed up specifically to start a thread.
  10. Well done gentlemen an fine effort. My mate did do it in a Saints shirt, he's emailed the proof. Boll0cks. I owe him a tenner.
  11. Dead right, such a shame the 2nd didn't go in. I think NA will use him wisely. He looked to me, as if he has bulked up a bit, not a bad thing. Well played young Oxy.
  12. Thanks. I will try to heed this advice. Maybe I'll try a bed, rather than the gutter.
  13. Compression shorts will help a little, but you may want to make it the Great South Walk, the last thing you want to do is turn the strain into a tear. I tore mine 15 years ago, and sometimes, even now, it can hurt like hell, usually if I've slept in an awkward position. Good luck with the run/walk (?). I've sponsored a mate a fiver to do it, double if he does it in a Saints shirt.
  14. Yep. Quite bizarre. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/9118602.stm
  15. Hopefully Wagner, purely because his dancers appear to enjoy a little booby action at the end of each of his sets. HTH
  16. Thanks for the replies, I guess it will be a pot of paint & a JPT flag. If this was to happen, the room wouldn't need decorating, on account of teenage son no longer being allowed to live with us.
  17. I’ve just broken the bank to stump up the fiver to start this thread, as I’m getting desperate, so I hope someone will be able to help. I’m about to start decorating my sons bedroom & I rashly promised him that he can have Saints wallpaper around the chimney breast, but I can’t find any anywhere. The megastore doesn't sell it & I can’t find any on the interweb. Does anyone know where I can get some? Alternatively does anyone have a spare roll lying around that is no longer needed, I probably only need 1 roll. Obviously I’m prepared to pay cold hard cash for it. Hopefully someone can help, or I will have a very disappointed 13 year old on my hands, who will never speak to me again (when I say “speak to” I mean grunt at).
  18. Obviously support will need to be provided for whatever is above, be it wall, floor, roof etc. This will need to be designed by a Structural Engineer & Building Regulation approval will need to be granted. DO NOT let the builder loose without making sure he has notified Building Control, and the work will be inspected by the Building Control Officer.
  19. When the pressure dropped in my boiler, it was because there was a leak in the system, fortunately under the (suspended) ground floor and no damage was done by the dripping water. It may not be as simple as re-filling the system.
  20. Just to complete the picture, The Belgrano was US built, originally known as the USS Pheonix & survived the attack on Pearl Harbour in 1941. She was sold to the Argies in the early '50s.
  21. I thought that, hence trawling through the small print, but I couldn't find any mention of an introductory offer, only that prices will increase in January, due to the VAT rise, although it doesn't say how much it will increase by. You're right about the BT line rental, but it's only £11 through Sky. I'll be looking at BT this afternoon.
  22. I'm currently with Pipex, who I'm currently getting bills from for about £35 pm (just bb & phone) . I received a flyer from Sky who are offering phone, tv & bband for £19 pm. Spent the morning reading through the small print (it's quite at work ) and looks to be good value fof money. If you apply on line you also get £25 voucher for M&S, handy for the lingerie dept with chrimbo coming up .
  23. Mr X. I couldn't give a nats chuff about yours, or anyone elses sexuality. If your gay, so be it, good luck to you. For those that are straight, good luck to them too. I don't have problem with peoples sexuality, whether it is the same as mine or different, and I can't believe that anyone in this day and age would. The one thing that makes me feel uneasy with is camp men, whether straight or gay. I know a camp man, he is classic camp; a hair-dresser, minces when walking & speaks like Julian Clarey. However he is definetly straight, he is married & one of his sons plays rugby with my son, but I still feel uncomfortable in his presence, dunno why really, it's probably more to do with me than him.
  24. Well done that man (or woman). Made I chuckle. Can anyone post the picture where the hand was used to support the flood lights.
  25. I was doing that on Saturday, when she walked from just in front of me to the Chapel goal. Had to explain the drool marks down my shirt to Mrs Geezer when I got in.
