I wouldnt take much from that BBC 'vote' - got to be discounted if they've given Rooney England player of the year?! 3 goals (against France, Slovenia and the mighty Lithuania) and 2 penalties (against Switzerland and San Marino) but generally playing like an absolute donkey (and getting paid £200k a week for it).

Why wouldnt we? J-Rod is injured and it's yet to be proven that he will ever get back to where he was, and Seager is totally unproven.

See he played in goal for the last 6+ mins on Sat after Wycombe's keeper got sent off giving away a penalty. Couldnt save the pen but showing good responsibility as a young lad out on loan to step up like that.

I hope not, has shown a few promising bits, needs a few games.

Though I was impressed with Reed the few times he played last season, have watched a few u21s games this season and he hasnt really impressed, and picked up a few very needless cards. Maybe until his performances improve at that level Koeman isnt prepared to give him a chance in the first team?!

I would be pretty happy with him. Always looked good for Costa Rica, did well on loan last season (including quite a few high profile European matches), and has looked alright for Arsenal in the few appearances he's made. Debuchy would be good, but he's pretty injury prone these days (since his move to Arsenal, surprise surprise)!

Agree with pretty much all of this, bar the Juanmi comment. He was relatively cheap and obviously has something, but we've been told he's still being 'built up' for the Prem, so am not expecting much until next season. If he hasnt played a few games by the end of the season then we'll be worrying, but still think there's something there and just 'bedding' him in slowly.

How long is Good Lad Gardos out for? Always saying we have no injuries bar J-Rod and Forster but pretty sure Gardos is also out still?

He hasnt particularly impressed in the prem so far (despite a few flashes of good stuff), but has looked a class above in a few of the reserve and pre-season games I saw him in. Needs time and fingers crossed he'll settle in and be with us for a good few years having shown more of what he can do by the end of the season / beginning of next.

Any news on the 'Good lad about town' Florin Gardos?

Who's Yann Valery? Havent heard of him before.

McQueen's always looked good when I've seen him. Certainly better than most of the players he's playing against in the under 21s. Surprised he hasnt made a few sub appearances or gone out on loan to a decent League One or maybe Championship side. Probably hasnt cos our other players arent being played though!

Gutting that they scored an offside goal, but Yoshida at full back is always a nightmare. He must've played there about 20 times and never had a particularly good game. I quite like Cedric, dont know why he's not playing much when he's our only proper right back?! Without that De Gea save though I think we would've won it. Fine margins.

It's more that he has only got about a goal a game vs San Marino. Eastleigh would probably beat San Marino.

He owes us nothing?! I think a little bit of respect to the club who pays him very generously and helped him become a very good player, and to the fans who have given him a lot of love over the past couple of seasons isnt too much to ask.

If we're serious about progression, or at least retaining a decent Prem finish, Davis and Ward-Prowse will need to be replaced. Tadic and Juanmi need playing time over these two surely?
