The PowerBook cost around £1500 at the time - the first PC was a Dell at just over £1000, but obviously subsequent laptops are very much cheaper now. She wasn't really a kid, she had just started her A-levels, and was more familiar with Windows than OSX, and the question of compatability was more problematic then.

Well, well, it seems that the received wisdom on this thread about Luggy's tenure seems to be changing. I've never understood the view that he was "out of his depth", his results by and large were pretty good. I can understand Lowe being upset by his appearance and our so-called superstar players at the time perceiving that his lower league background not being good enough for them, but he really wasn't given a chance. It was Lowe's ludicrous appointment of a coach in Wigley (especially as the previous cheap option Gray was a spectacular failure) that did for us that season.

Just try to keep it civilised and try to agree between yourselves. Inevitably there will have to be compromise on both sides. As much as possible try to keep solicitors out of the equation - if things get nasty they will be the only winners in the situation.
