Did Perry get taken up by anybody? His reading of situations often made up for his lack of pace and could be useful on a games played contract if nobody else has snapped him up.

Got to say this and I know I will be shot down , but I really don't think that the club has spent enough on players in the last year - ok so we have spent £3m or £4m or something, but look, when Markus bought the club we had a squad that was probably worth less than zero - so many hopeless players on long contracts that would have cost us money to get rid of them - and still costing us money now - Forecast , Pullis etc - half of last years wages budget went on paying the dross - Thomas , Perry etc etc etc. I don't think the owners truly realised that as a club we were so run down - totally asset stripped by the previous owner and administrators. A lot of the transfer budget was spent on just getting on to an even keel with other L1 clubs - Lambert and Fonte aside I would say this is the case!

I was there and to be honest people are being unfair to our defence all 5 incl KD were under the kosh from the 1st minute - and were firefighting all 1st half and did well to keep it at 0-0 - the fault lies totally with the midfield all 4 of them totally incompetant.

Well i was there and saw KD and Bart going through the toughest GK warmup i've seen the Saints do in the last 3 years - so respectfully i would say you dont know what you are talking about.
