Hoedt is a truly dreadfall player so dropped for Stephens please.
-
Nobody with any sense slated Wanyama and Mane to be fair. The rest is however accurate.
-
Agreed .... Probably the best team for this fixture. Would like to see Sims at some point if possible....
-
Disappointed that he was picked at all. Hughes needs to learn about his much faster!!!!
-
This guy is crap ! End of - Crap
-
Hoedt is comfortably not a footballer... Yoshi and Stephens please...
-
Who would you like to see sold/replaced in the summer?

Agree as priorities. I’d add Carillo and Hoedt both are very below our standard.. -
Agree with you. In fact Horst is not a footballer in my view.
-
The most worrying thing about that whole interview is his intimation that he will still be playing on the left which is clearly without any doubt at all never going to work..... If there is one thing Hughesy has to learn quickly it’s that Tadic can’t play on the right any more than Redmond can play on the left..... One of our biggest issues .....
-
Agree, Hughes has already had a massive effect in his first game.... The job he has been dumped with is almost impossible so let’s not judge him too quickly ... He didn’t get us into this mess after all....
-
You don’t have to know anything about football to know that Pellegrino was not sustainable... I would say Cortese learnt very fast too though Kruger doesn’t seem to have a savvy capability.

Where I slightly disagree is he is not getting in those positions to score in the first place. That is the point. It’s not as if he is missing chances - if only.... If there were a sign that he has something then that would be something but he just doesn’t look like he’s dangerous at all.... He has been playing regular football after all prior to his arrival... He could suddenly turn into something with Hughesy coaching him, however up until now he isn’t looking the part and personally I don’t think he is anywhere near Gabbiadini and Austin before he was injured. Pick him for another eighteen games in case he improves? You might as well put our youngsters in and let them have 25 games to learn their trade and save the money..... Where is the justification - so far for giving Carillo another half a season in the first team? It’s not an extreme view in any way..... -

Is this the same endless piece of string many were advocating for Pellegrino? Give him till Christmas - give him till this game, that game, the game after that, February, March, next season even! We are Premier League you have to be good enough to play! We cannot train on the Job! -
As a person who would earn my respect - now let me see - Joey Barton or Mark Hughes???? Ummmm Who would I rather managed my team??? Who would I want nowhere near us in any capacity ??? Who cares what Barton thinks or says it’s normally vile anyway.... Lowers the credibility of Talk Sport to a new level of dumb rating.... I hope it spurs Hughes on to succeed even more...

Guido Carrillo - Official: Free Transfer to Elche

Many have said he might need more support and his best attributes are not a lone striker which is odd considering Pellegrino only plays that formation and he brought him in specifically for that role where clearly he is not suited at all. One thing he definitely isn’t is a ‘target’ man, I think we have established that. Disappointingly though he was just as ineffective with lots of support round him against Wigan. Also as some have mentioned we are in a scrap and need intelligent runners off the ball in a more direct Hughes style and he definitely doesn’t do that either.... Best to stick him in the under 23s until he starts looking the part as he looks rusty. It’s either that or he just isn’t up to it which is one hell of an expensive mistake to have made if true..... A sackable mistake in most businesses .... The worrying thing is if Reed ‘leans’ on Hughes to play him - does that go on? Would Hughes accept that? -
I think I counted 10 reasons to be cheerful there! A week ago we had none.... That’s commendable optimism if ever I saw it !! :-))

Wait a minute...... Football is a game of opinions yes, however, you thought Carillo played better than Gabbiadini ? That is really quite bizarre.... -

After months of MP choosing the wrong tactics and the wrong personnel I think we would all be ****ed off! Hughes shows passion and commitment himself so of course that will rub off and did! There is lots of work to do, some of it is easy i.e. drop Carillo who is totally useless....Another clear sign of MPs lack of judgement ! Today, even in the first half we were better than at Newcastle - it will come together under Hughes, good substitutions, good half time talk and brave team selection.... Hopefully Hughes realises quickly that Carillo is carp and we need to actually put tackles in and not shadow players right into our own box..... Well done the team and the coaching staff, good start.... -
Cedric you must tackle !
-
Are we going to stand and watch them for another 50mins ?
-
We must engage the player on the BALL!!!!! Clearly not doing that particularly the full backs!
-
Yes very true. The thing is you can’t have ‘technical’ without effort and intensity and some foreign coaches seem to forget that. That is one very good reason amongst a dozen others that Poch is so good.... We were fit as hell under him and played a very high intensity game....
