  1. I do not understand what you are saying. Who are these other employers giving jobs in football to JP and Wotte? Nobody else has yet employed Wotte. JP is now back languishing in the lower leagues of Dutch football (with, apparently, another relegation beckoning) and hasn't been snapped up by another English club. How do I know that Strachan and Souness walked?? Because they said so!! Are you saying that Lowe sacked them as well?? "So many managers came to work for him" ?? The fact that he had to scour the lower leagues of Dutch football to find someone to work for him illustrates his desparation in getting people to come and work for him.
  2. Explain to me why last week, after you promised us that you would not pollute this forum any longer with your views about MLT , have you come back to hijack yet another thread with views which no true Saints fan would subscribe to? Is it too much to expect you to hold one consistent view from one week to the next???
  3. Of course not. They were established names in English football when they came to Saints. Stachan and Souness walked because they could see Lowe's limitations and their standing would , if anything, have improved because of that. Wotte (and Portfvleit) came to this country pretty much unknown. Their "talents" had only been "spotted" by Lowe and guess what .... they haven't got another job in English football.
  4. Fair point ... but how about Wotte?? I suspect that he is tainted by his association with Lowe and that is what is preventing him from getting another job in English football.
  5. The judgement of anyone who hitches himself to the Lowe bandwagon has to be questioned doesn't it 19 C???
  6. I think the most interesting example of double standards is someone saying that he wasn't going to bore us yet again with his views about MLT and then he mahages to raise it yet again in a thread that had nothing to do with MLT. You are ckearly a sad obsessed individual. Sometimes the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing does it 19C???
  7. I see that your promise to never mention MLT again lasted about a week . Anyone would think that you were 2 different people the way that your moods swing so violently ;-)
  8. For the last week or so, 19C , you have been posting quite sensible , well thought out, reasonable posts. Then you have started on this thread and we are back to the same old nonsense. Anyone would think you were 2 different people. ;-)
  9. I think they went to http://www.debtfreeinaday.co.uk
  10. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=80497#post80497 See post 124 on this thread for Scooby in his full glory.
  11. The ground did look on the empty side last night but I was still slightly surprised to see that last night's attendance was only 16.4k. The weather was foul ,it was the highest attendance in Leagues 1 & 2 & Wycombe did not bring many but blimey - even Pimpey got more!!! We are used to more. 2 matches on the south coast on the same night. I wonder if there are some people who watch both Saints and Pimpey and last night chose to watch the (supposedly) higher standard game at Pimpey rather than come to SMS.
  12. Tell me about it!!! :-) :-)
  13. I remember it well!! What a sad day. Norwich and us!! we seem to be locked in some deathly embrace - when we get relegated, so do they!!
  14. Nah. It was Norwich - not Palace who went down with us in 1974. We always get relegated with Norwich!!!
  15. It may only have 1 covered stand but the Don Valley Stadium has a capacity of 25K and is at least a major sporting stadium . Luton's previous away match was at Grays Atghletic in front of 1,600 people in a stadium which can hold 4,000 at a pinch. Their next game is at Chester in a stadium with a capacity of 5,000. Maybe the Don Valley is not so bad!! I wonder what they will make of SMS if they come here on 2 nd January.
  16. On ITV they also said that a trip to Rotherham was "hardly a glamour tie for Luton supporters." Probably not if you are a plastic Premiership fan who also works for ITV. But if you are a supporter of a team in the Conference, a trip to a Football League ground in the second round of the Cup is not to be sneezed at!!! The glib cliches of some of these so called journos !!!
  17. Can you tell us more about this rumour FF now that Hart has gone???
  18. Steve Basham
  19. If he talks like he writes he is probably still there rambling on and on and on and on and on ...........
  20. Thats brilliant. Thanks.
  21. Is there any parking close to the stadium but not at the stadium itself??
  22. Good old Ricardo. I always liked him!!!
  23. but is he the best ever English centre forward ?????? PMSL
